The first time I came for ski holiday was in with Christmas. In that time Holland International was the touroperator. We had a fantastic time in Stastlivetza and the skiing was great. Beautifull natur! That the lifts were oldfashied was a pity but all the things around, the people ski instructors we really made friends. From that time on we came every year 1 or 2 times to Vitosha until We like to go very much to go to Vitosha again but I heard Stastlivetza is not operabel anymore. Although it was possible to find friendly english speaking staff all the people we came across were friendly it was impossible for us to make any sense of the maps of the various pistes. In fact the 'you are here' marker on the map did not exist. Rubbed off?? Who knows! We had no idea where we were or where to go. Which runs were which etc. Consequently we chose to stay at the top station and just have a look around before making our descent. Must say though it looks a great place if you know your way around. We are currently living in Sofia and hope to return for a session with an English speaking guide sometime this week.
