A few weeks ago, our kids were all giddy and happy as Halloween was getting closer. It's that night of the year that ghost hunters are said to go on a hunt around campfires, telling ghost stories to the wide-eyed, excited children.

At the moment, all of attention is now largely on the kids with their bright eyes and exuberant enthusiasm which is forcing us to get ready for the official beginning of the fall season for me, at least.

It is also the start of a variety of gatherings for visitors and community events that take place in the area around Eagle and the nearby town of Vail. With the Oktoberfest beginning, and the fact that September is winding down it is time to be looking forward to the month of October with an eye for detail and an enthralling feeling of excitement.

Eagle Town Park hosts a farmers' market on a Saturday. Kids can go horseback riding in the nearby Mountain Valley Horse Rescue on the intersection of Wall and 6th Street.

Eagle residents are probably the most excited about the upcoming winter and the arrival of the premier season of snow. Locals and visitors alike are attracted by the mountains due to the ski trails that they have prepared. The blend of all the parts of an eagle creates an entire thing that's greater than the total of all its components.
