Each day of our virtual Solo Competition brought smiles to thousands of viewers online, across the WORLD! Each one of our dedicated, talented and amazing performers deserves a HUGE round of virtual applause for their outstanding accomplishments. THANK YOU!!

Must be a dancer
Must have a camera
Must be able to access the internet
Must be willing to have a GREAT TIME

Must be done on iPhone 8 or better (filmed in landscape), Samsung 10 or better (filmed in landscape), or DSLR Camera.
Solo must be performed in an adequate amount of space.
We recommend the camera be stationary and at least 4 feet from the ground, positioned far enough away from the dancer to see the entirety of the performance.
The audio track must be clear and easy to hear.
Files can not be larger than 2 GB. Any files larger than 2 GB must be compressed before submission.

It is FREE to submit.
Age divisions are Mini (6 – 8), Junior (9– 12), Teen (13 – 15), and Senior (16 and over) Age as of December 31st, 2019.
A studio or dancer can enter 1 solo per dancer (any dance genre – a maximum of 3 minutes).
Registration opens May 1st, 2020
Submission Deadline: May 8th, 2020 @ 11:59pm EST
Candance has the right to limit the number of entries. To run the event Candance will need a minimum of 100 entries.
Live air dates will be dependent on the number of entries in each division and will be announced. There will a Preliminary competition and a Final Showcase for all top 10 qualifiers.
Submissions must be from the 2020 dance season.
No stage videos – Be creative with your setting! (At Home, Outside, wherever you feel comfortable)
Costumes, hair and makeup are not mandatory but highly recommended
Videos must be family-friendly, Candance has the right to refuse any videos that are inappropriate.
Candance Virtual Solo Competition has no bearing on the 2020 regional tour. There are no separate divisions of Novice, Pre-Competitive or Competitive and this will not affect their regional status.
Dancers can compete in our regional events in 2020 or 2021 with the same solo routine.
Although routines will be judged, personal critiques will not be given. Judges will be providing general comments.
Cash awards and Scholarships will be announced at the Final Showcase and will be delivered to your studio directors.
Candance has the right to screen videos in the event that we receive an overwhelming response to the Virtual Solo Competition event.

Since this is our first time ever hosting a virtual competition, SUBMISSIONS WILL BE FREE ! Studios and/or dancers will be able to submit their solo videos based on our competition guidelines, and entries submitted will be featured on our LIVE competition broadcast starting May 23 rd . The top 10 solo routines from each age division – Mini (6 yrs – 8 yrs), Junior (9 yrs – 12 yrs), Teen (13 yrs – 15 yrs), and Senior (16 yrs and over) ages must be as of December 31 st , 2019; will then move on to our Awards Show broadcast where 3 Prestigious judges will choose special awards and pick the top dancers! How exciting!! Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity, register TODAY!
All videos MUST be submitted via a cloud-sharing platform such as Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive(One) or something of similar nature, where you ONLY SHARE THE LINK for us to retrieve your submission. Video submissions will not be accepted in any other way. We ask that the video link stay stable for at least 72hrs to allow time for collection before you remove it from your cloud sharing platform of choice. Your download link must be inserted into the Official Registration form located in the next section below. If the link is broken or unavailable for us to download your entry will be considered invalid.
