A drug dealer has been spared jail despite supplying MDMA at a festival that killed a teenage girl. A-level student Emily fell ill in the venue on June 17 last year, and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she later died. A post mortem found the cause of death was attributable to taking MDMA. Villars from New Malden, south west London, was arrested the following day. At Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, Villars was handed a one year sentence, which is suspended for two years. He was also given a four month curfew with electronic monitoring from 7pm to 7am, and eighty hours' unpaid work. Shortly after her death, her father Steve Lyon, said: 'We are absolutely devastated at what has happened and we're struggling to come to terms with it. She was a loving daughter and a caring sister, who was much adored by her vast circle of friends. Those who take them can pay the ultimate price. Her mother Carol Needham, 50, said: 'Emily was a lovely, happy person. She had hundreds of friends. She was much-loved by everybody.
