Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Vietnamese OPI/VRI Interpreter. The interpreter will provide real-time Vietnamese–English interpretation over the phone (OPI) and via video (VRI) for clients in sectors such as healthcare, government, legal, and customer service. Daily tasks include accurately conveying spoken messages between parties, managing calls and video sessions professionally, and maintaining strict confidentiality of all information. The interpreter will follow client and company protocols, document sessions as required, and use company-provided platforms and tools to ensure smooth, high-quality interactions. The role also involves continuous improvement of language skills, adherence to industry standards, and collaboration with internal teams when needed.
Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in Vietnamese and English, with excellent speaking, listening, and comprehension skills.
* Demonstrated experience in consecutive interpretation, preferably in OPI/VRI or similar remote interpretation environments.
* Ability to convey tone, intent, and cultural nuances accurately and neutrally between both languages.
* Comfort with using remote communication platforms, call-handling tools, and basic computer applications.
* Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to remain calm, professional, and impartial in high-stress or sensitive interactions.
* High level of integrity, reliability, and respect for confidentiality and data protection standards.
* Stable internet connection, suitable remote work setup, and readiness to work assigned full-time schedules.
* Previous experience in medical, legal, or community interpretation, and familiarity with industry terminology, is a Plus.
* Relevant training or certification in interpretation or linguistics is preferred but not mandatory.
