An educational TV show for kids has been stung with huge backlash for featuring naked adults in front of an audience of children in Holland.
Simply Naked sees a group of free-spirited adults disrobe in front of children to answer questions about the human body and feeling comfortable in their own skin.
In a trailer released by Dutch broadcaster NTR, some of the youngsters get the giggles as a group of nude adults appear on stage.
‘The aim is to teach children that each and every body is different and that not all bodies are perfect,’ TV presenter Edson da Graça told NOS.
Simply Naked doesn’t touch on sex and bosses have stressed parents are capable of deciding if the programme is suitable for their child – there are plenty of other channels to choose from.
However, the show has still been hit with complaints with furious critics branding Simply Naked ‘disgusting’.
Leader of right-wing FvD party Thierry Baudet went as far as claiming it ‘comes close to promoting paedophilia’. 
Reactions from Dutch children who were able to watch a preview of an episode varied from ‘this is not a show I need to see’ to ‘it’s good to know that other people worry about the same things too’, according to Dutch News.
The public broadcaster said in a statement: ‘The children knew exactly what was going to happen and they could say how they felt during the programme at any time.
‘We had expected a bit of a ruckus. Not everyone will think this is for children and that’s OK. It’s up to the parents to decide if their children can watch.’
Simply Naked is based on a Danish kids’ TV show with a similar premise, titled Ultra smider tøjet (Ultra strips down), which has also faced backlash in Denmark.
Discussing the show, Sofie Münster, a parenting expert told the New York Times in October: ‘We recognise the significance of a bruise. Danish parenting generally favours exposing children rather than shielding them.
‘This is how we educate our children, we show them reality as it is.’

Amanda Holden is really embracing her natural side while in lockdown, as the star revealed she’d whipped off her bikini to jump naked on her kids’ trampoline this week.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge was speaking about the apparent rise in naturism, with more people evidently getting their kit off on the reg while in quarantine (we wonder if Charles Saatchi has anything to do with this?).
On this morning’s Heart Breakast show, Amanda, 49, informed co-host Jamie Theakston, also 49, all about her previous day’s exploits which involved her husband, Chris Hughes, daring her to the nude leap.
She also encouraged Jamie to get behind World Naked Gardening Day and to ‘get out our hoses’ and ‘plant some seeds’.
We don’t know about you, but Amanda is a whole quarantine vibe and we’re loving it.
Amanda said on Thursday: ‘It is World Naked Gardening Day. So I’m thinking let’s get out our you know, hoses… I went there, and you know and plant some seeds.’
She continued: ‘We could do anything naked, although that’s quite risky baking naked,’ as Jamie added: ‘I think it’s the ultimate act of self-liberation isn’t it? They often say; free your body, free your mind, we need a bit of free thinking right now.’
Amanda detailed: ‘Shall I tell you what I did yesterday? This is no word of a lie, I mean I did do it because my husband Christopher dared me.
‘I was in a bikini, I whipped it off and I jumped on my child’s trampette totally naked.
‘That’s what I’m challenging people to do today. If you’ve got a trampoline, strip off and have a bounce.’

It’s not the first time we’ve heard about Amanda’s proclivity for getting about the house in the nude, after her daughter threw her into it last year.
Putting the little girl in the hot seat, Amanda’s co-star Jamie grilled Hollie on the most embarrassing thing her mum does, with the eight-year-old shooting back a pretty unexpected answer.
‘She goes naked all around the house,’ Hollie quickly replied, prompting howls of laughter from the presenting pair.
When asked how she felt about her mum’s nudity, Hollie said: ‘I just get annoyed.’
‘Do you? Do you think I need to put something on,’ the Britain’s Got Talent judge asked her daughter, with Hollie replying: ‘Yeah, just a jumper or something.’
