The Devils ( sh. Đavoli , u Jugoslaviji prikazivan pod naslovom Demoni , je britanski igrani film snimljen 1971. godine u režiji Kena Russella , poznat kao najkontroverznije ostvarenje njegove karijere, odnosno kao jedan od najkontroverznijih filmova uopće.
Predstavlja adaptaciju istoimene drame Johna Whitinga, koja se, pak, temeljila na knjizi The Devils of Loudun Aldousa Huxleya u kojoj je opisana tzv. afera loudunskih demona koja se zbila u Francuskoj 1630-ih. Protagonist, koga tumači Oliver Reed , je Urbain Grandier , popularni katolički župnik grada Loudun, sklon ljubavnim aferama, a koji postaje predmetom opsesije sestre Jeanne od Anđela (čiji lik tumači Vanessa Redgrave ), opatice lokalnog uršulinskog samostana. Radnja prikazuje kako ona gubi razum, ali i izaziva masovnu histeriju koja će dovesti do javnog egzorcizma i optužbi za vještičarenje zbog kojih Grandier na kraju završi na lomači.
The Devils je izazvao veliku pažnju prije svega zbog šokantne eksplicitnosti u scenama nasilja, ali i golotinje i seksa. Još prije same premijere Russell je bio prisiljen izbaciti dio materijala kako bi dobio službeno odobrenje britanskih cenzora , čak i uz najstroži X rejting . U brojnim drugim zemljama je film, pod optužbom za blasfemiju i vrijeđanje osjećaja katolika bio službeno zabranjen za prikazivanje, dok se danas prikazuje skraćena verzija iz koje je Warner Bros. bio izbacio brojne "problematične" scene kako bi u SAD od cenzorskog odbora MPAA dobio oznaku "R". One su uključivale i scenu orgija u kojoj poludjele redovnice spolno opće sa statuom Isusa ; za nju se dugo vremena smatralo da je izgubljeni prije nego što je, zahvaljujući naporima kritičara Marka Kermodea , uključena u kasnije restaurirane verzije. Iako je The Devils nakon toga u nekoliko navrata prikazan u integralnom obliku, dan-danas se smatra jednim od najnedostupnijih filmskih ostvarenja u svijetu.
