A SEXUALISED pop video backing Vladimir Putin in Sunday’s Kremlin presidential election has gone viral on the Russian web.

Not officially part of his campaign, it nevertheless is entirely aimed at boosting the ex-KGB spy’s ratings.
The song repeatedly uses Vova - the fond short form of the name Vladimir - as the group’s three singers writhe semi-naked in underwear.
The aim seems to be to spice up a campaign which is so dull partly because the Kremlin has banned any genuine Putin foes from standing.
While the name Putin is not mentioned, he appears in the pop video in a picture topless on horseback, on the front cover of Time magazine, and on a Soviet-era TV screen to leave no doubt about who the video is promoting.
The refrain in Russian is: “Vova, our boss, beloved Vova,
“Vova, handsome guy, our beloved boss.
The theme is three female office workers who dream of Putin rather than their work “printing out plans for coal mining”.
They sing: “He will strictly reprimand each girl,
“All is bad, all is done in the wrong way….
The singers also go to the gym in their break, and make a macho trouble to Putin:
“We are running and running and get tired.
“We sit down and suddenly see somebody lifting a ton,
At one point Vova turns into Vovan - which makes his name appear more like that of a mafia boss.
At times it appears to be so absurd it must be a parody - except that if it was, it would have been banned.
It goes on as the singers twist around in revealing lingerie: “Tomorrow we will meet him at the corporate party,
“And I will come up to him with a glass of Martini,
“And we’ll continue at his place (super),
“It is too late, girls, tomorrow Vova and I are getting married.”
Fabrika - or Factory - is a female pop group starring Irina Toneva, 40, Alexandra Savelieva, 34, and Alexandra Popova, 26, which has six times won the Russian music award “Golden Gramophone” for the best song.
The song called Vova Vova has been watched more than one million times on the web since being posted four days ago.
Earlier in the campaign Russian Maxim magazine produced a web adverts feating female models in underwear, posing at a polling station.
The aim seemed to be to persuade young males - seen as pro-Putin - to take the trouble to vote.

A group of young cadets in Russia's most prestigious flight school have caused a nationwide scandal with a video of their half-naked shenanigans, wearing nothing but their underwear, flight caps, neckties and BDSM paraphernalia.
In the clip a camera follows the scantily-clad group of aspiring pilots through the halls of their building, each of whom is rhythmically performing some sort of household task, while thrusting their hips to the beat of the music. The tasks range from the practical, such as ironing a shirt or wiping glass surfaces clean, to the more demonstrative—straddling an open door or licking a banana in a close-up shot.
With the pilots performing their routine to Benny Benassi's song "Satisfaction," the footage is a tongue-in-cheek homage to the track's original music video, in which a group of skimpily-dressed women do construction-related tasks.
The video culminates with over a dozen cadets dancing together in a room, while one of them does pushups on the sidelines.
Posted in time for Tatiana Day, an annual holiday in Russia for all students, the video was likely an attempt by the cadets to share a joke with other young Russians celebrating the end of the winter exam session. Officials and state-run media have not seen the funny side of it at all.
The scenes are "reprehensible and uncouth," one state TV report raged. "This is unlike anything that has happened in the 90-year history of civil aviation," the Russia's government-funded news channel Rossiya 1 declared.
In the state-run Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation, where the cadets appear to be studying, officials are investigating the video to find out the identities of the students and determine their punishment. Sergey Krasnov, the school's rector, has dismissed the attempt at humor as inappropriate.
"If they had joked like that at home, nobody would have batted an eyelid," he told the Ren TV channel. "They were, after all, in civil aviation caps. The most serious thing is that this is the attitude toward our veterans, to the airmen above, by freshmen."
