So, sport fishing is one of the biggest hobbies in America. So much so that American anglers have become true influencers, generating a large amount of content for an audience that wants to see how the fish bite.
With almost half a million subscribers on YouTube, Vicky Stark is one of the most famous fishing influencers. Born and raised in South Florida in 1985, she is an American fishing expert, Instagram star, YouTube star, and Internet Sensation.
This fishing lover has been in the YouTube world for 10 years now. The videos that we find on her channel are of different types of fishing and species in Florida. For example: bowfishing, bottom fishing for snapper and permit in Florida, learning how to throw a cast net, catching bait, paddleboard fishing for exotic Barramundi fish, snook fishing in Florida, huge bonefish on the flats in Miami, etc. If we talk about numbers, her videos accumulate millions of views, the most viewed being one with 27 million views. This popular video was uploaded in February 2019 and it is about her personal biggest permit caught flats fishing.
And not only can we see Vicky Stark on YouTube, her instagram profile (active since 2012) with more than 220k followers is full of photos of her incredible catches. Moreover, her official page on Facebook accumulates more than 151 thousand followers and in it she shares her YouTube videos and photos of her catches as well. Without a doubt, this fishing influencer tries to offer the best content to her audience.
She had a passion for fishing since childhood and she is also traveling in numerous locations in Florida for her fishing trips, such as the Everglades, Venice Beach, Miami, and Cabo San Lucas. This online popularity and his success in the world of fishing have given her the sponsorship of various brands such as One One Swimmer, G Loomis, Smith Optics, etc.
It seems that YouTube is one of the best platforms to make yourself known in the world of fishing and become a fishing influencer. Even so, having the support of other highly visual social networks like instagram and facebook can help, not only in the case of fishing, but to be an influencer in general.
But for niches as specific as sport fishing, do you think it is better to use other more specific platforms in which to make yourself known? Perhaps appearing in fishing magazines, forums, websites, even apps can be a good idea to reach a more specific audience. Now my question is, what other sites do you guys think people have to be in to be a fishing influencer?

Here’s the deal with Patreon. Patreon is good for Patreon. While creators can develop revenue streams on the site…that doesn’t mean Patreon does much else. Yes, there are absolutely features and benefits beyond getting paid, but ultimately, Patreon is good for Patreon.

The key to creating a revenue stream from being creative is to build an audience. Better, gathering an audience that wants to support your creative endeavors. If a person has a talent for singing, storytelling…anything, that person can draw a crowd. Patreon isn’t going to provide much help with the gathering part. They do help you collect the funds.
So what does Patron do? Let’s say you’re singing in the square. A crowd of 50 people gather around to enjoy your performance. Patreon is your buddy with the hat. They run around the crowd silently gathering up the money that the crowds wants to give to you…and they do that every day for 10’s of thousands of people. It’s wonderful, but it’s not magic.
The other thing is, it’s their square you are performing in…they are also building an audience. Patreon has figured out that if they can gather lots of creators….they naturally gather audiences.
These audiences allow Patreon to earn a profit. Patreon is good at building an audience…they just closed their Series C round of funding netting $60million. The get this money, why?
With 50,000 creators and 1 million subscribers on board paying an average of $12 per month… (Source: TechCrunch
)
Those audience members are now in the Patreon marketplace and Patreon gets to sell to those collective audiences—while putting the creation burden on the artist.
If a creative can build an audience, isn’t it worthwhile to create that audience in the creative’s marketplace?
Take a look at a few different Patreon pages.
The first thing written on the page is Mike’s plug for Patreon—good for Patreon. He’s currently at 26 Patrons…and slowly building his audience. I found Mike because he’s a featured artist on the slider on Patreon’s home page, WOW! that’s great for Mike.
How’s this working for Mike? Given his audience size on Patreon, he might be making as little as $26 a month. Is he growing? I sure hope so….cuz again, it’s not magic…it’s work.
—UPDATE: As of 27APR18 Mike is down to 24 patrons—The point of this update isn’t to harm Mike, but to illustrate, Patreon isn’t magic. It’s work…if you are going to work, it’s not necessarily beneficial for you to partner with Patreon.
These guys are killing it. They’ve got monthly revenue of $25k which is pretty sweet. Of course, they are listed as one of the top 20 podcasts and that helps people find them…and gives them access to patrons that others won’t get.
What about the 20th podcast on the list.
This show has 1400+ patrons and brings in about 1400 a month. Again, that’s pretty sweet…but we went from 25k to 1400 a month pretty fast.
Here’s the problem, if you’re not in the top 20 podcasts, it’s pretty hard to discover a show on Patreon, Basically, the audience member has to already know you exist to find you. Which means Patreon isn’t working for a LOT of people.
If you look past the top 20…we’re talking about a lot of shows/artists and sites that find little value in what Patreon delivers. That isn’t to say Patreon is bad…what it says is, building an audience is the key skill to master.
When people ask me about Pateron, I always ask:
The answers to these questions rarely leads to the person saying I need to be on Patreon. When an artist works to get paid, there’s 1000 ways to do it…but it all revolves around gathering people who LOVE your work.

I think there are a few issues with it. I have supported a few creators, however, there have been more bad than good experiences.
Several times I’ve come across cosplay shoots that creators have listed from Twitter or Facebook, saying, “Sign up to X tier to get this shoot”. You then HAVE to pay to see the actual post and any content links. I then find out after paying, that the links are dead (usually Google Drive or OneDrive) and subsequently after messaging the creator) that the content was only for a specific month (not mentioned in the social medi

You then HAVE to pay to see the actual post and any content links. I then find out after paying, that the links are dead (usually Google Drive or OneDrive) and subsequently after messaging the creator) that the content was only for a specific month (not mentioned in the social media posts). And that NO, they WILL NOT send me the content I wanted especially, even after I offer a pledge.
The creator then gets OUT of refunding by saying I’ve already had access to content. What content? Dead links?? So, I contact Patreon.
2. Patreon Inc DENYING responsibility for refunds when funds actually sent to THEM.
After point 1, I contact Patreon. They say they are not responsible for refunds, and that I’m to contact the creator. What they don’t mention is that this is actually ILLEGAL in my country (UK). I noticed from PayPal transactions that payments are made DIRECTLY to “Patreon Incorporated” and NOT the CREATORS.
In the UK, under our Sale of Goods Act my contract is therefore with Patreon, and they are financially responsible. Hence, it seems illegal to me.
I’m still fighting for a $50 refund from such a creator (FiseaCosplay) who is uncontactable and hasn’t posted since 2019. I’ve pointed out to Patreon that their refund policy stinks and am waiting for a decision on my refund. Fisea eventually responded to an email promising me content but has since gone very quiet after I caused a stink.
Allowing creators to hide dead links behind a paywall with no guarantee of getting any content, and then making us consumers fight for refunds, whilst blatantly denying responsibility even though you’re the initial financial recipient, stinks. They need to stop charging subscribers immediately, and only allow charging at the end of the month, to avoid all this. Or charge us, but not give the creator the money for up to a month in case of complaints.
I have two creators who are very active, responsive and worth money, but 2 out of 5 is a terrible statistic. I’m going to avoid them from now on. Until the unscrupulous creators stop their scammy moneymaking tactics.

I wanted to say “No!! It’s not possible” but I did a Googling before posting and found that Patreon has added a service add-on called Patreon Viewer. What’s so good about that? Well, it’s still in beta testing mode and therefore is open to public for free. What it means is that, Patreon needs us to watch their videos by participating in the beta test, so that they can find bugs and fix them. I’ll help you know more about this here, for you.
We are lucky because we can watch all of their videos until this beta test has been completed - Watch Any Videos Using Patreon Viewer

Please note that you might face issues while watching videos on this Patreon Viewer. You should report them to Patreon team in the mail address given there, so that they can fix it. Please upvote if this is helpful to you. I hope that this beta test might continue for a month at least.
It’s a new service add-on developed by the programmers of the Patreon platform. Since this is in beta mode, you can watch all of their videos for free until the testing is completed.
I’ve been blogging on the internet for the last five years. So I have watched the industry grow from writing, into videos, podcasts, courses and more. Like many people I know who count themselves as internet ‘Creators’ I do it because I love it. However, it also takes a lot of money and a lot of time. Patreon Viewer may hold the answer.
Are you someone who shares their experiences and knowledge online? Patreon Viewer should be something you should take some time to research to find out if it may work for you. Conversely – perhaps this could be a new way for you to show your support.
So let’s dig into Patreon Viewer and find out what you need to know about this online community. I am not affiliated with Patreon but I do have my own account and support content creators on Patreon.
This is a perfect article for people interested in whether Patreon may be the best next step for their business or online content. I am always available to provide business support in helping businesses chose on the right income streams for them. Just get in touch with me. I also offer on my own Patreon page individual workshops and accountability support in creating your own business and personal goals.
It’s popular amongst Youtube videographers, writers, podcasters, musicians and other people that post a lot online. It has over 50,000 active creators, 1 million monthly patrons, and sent over $150 million to creators in 2017.
You can sign up to Patreon Viewer for free. Then you can connect your social media accounts to see if anyone you know already uses the site. You can search for Creators to support and Patreon will also suggest people you may be interested in.
Signing up is completely free – the only costs is IF you then decide to contribute to a Creators page. You can choose what Creators you want to support and in exchange will get exclusive content, deals and offers that aren’t available anywhere else.
Quite simply, Patreon Viewer is a service for watching videos created by their favourite creators (or is it Patrons? They use both on the site and it completely confuses me – I’m sticking with Patrons…)
Patron’s contribute anything from a few dollars (its an American site ok!) to a few hundred dollars each month or each post for new content.
This allows ‘creators’ to get paid regularly for making new things. They can dedicate more time and energy doing something they love, and that you love
Becoming a Patron means you can get special opportunities, such as exclusive videos and private podcasts, google hangouts, competitions or free resources that other members of their creator’s community can’t access.
Many Creators offer their Patreon different ‘tiers’ or ways to support them. This can be as little as $1-2 dollars a month, just like buying them a cup of coffee to say thank you.
Personally my ‘tiers’ start at $3 and increase to $50. With each tier my Patrons get many additional benefits, with the highest tier getting monthly support via video calls and emails. It also means that anyone that enjoys my articles, videos or weekly emails can simply buy me a virtual coffee every month to say thanks. This means that I am supported for the hours of work that goes into running this website every month.
What do I get for becoming a Patreon?
Some creators don’t offer any rewards or simply create one reward tier as admiss
