TULSA -- An explicit video showing young people in Tulsa having sex and fighting has been viewed more than 375,000 times on Facebook.
The three-minute long video montage posted Friday night was up on social media more than 36-hours on Facebook, even after it was reported.
Tulsa Police say even though the video was shared more than 3,500 times, they can only look into it if someone comes forward and files a police report.
"It's a shocking video for anyone to see," Officer Jeanne MacKenzie with the Tulsa Police Department said.
Young people were recorded having sex with several of their faces easily identified. Others were recorded getting beaten up. It was all compiled into one video, put to music and shared on Facebook.
The person who put the video together said all of the videos were sent in.
"If a person came forward saying, 'This is me. I got jumped,' or 'This is me and I didn't share this photo,' or 'Someone took this photo without my knowledge,' then we would have some type of crime," Officer MacKenzie said.
Officer MacKenzie said as of now, they have not determined that a crime was committed.
She said to determine if one had been committed, officers would have to see if the people were underage, intoxicated or if they gave consent.
"You can't have pictures of naked children, but trying to determine if those people in that video are children or not would be a hard task for us, because there are certain criteria we have to go by to determine whether or not they are a child," Officer MacKenzie said.
It is obvious some of the explicit videos were sent out on Snapchat.
"I've seen a lot of people say it goes away in 24 hours, but it still can be screen shot," Officer MacKenzie said. "Other people can see it."
The person who made and posted the video wrote on their page that people in the video were laughing it off.
"If that is true and everyone in that video gave her permission to post it, then that makes it legal," Officer MacKenzie said.
She said laws are changing to incorporate crimes on social media. But as it stands now, police departments cannot force someone to take a video down. People offended by the video just have to report it to the social media site.
"Just because we feel or think something someone has done is not moral, we can't do anything to them without a crime," Officer MacKenzie said.
More than 1,000 comments were posted to the video. Some said they were proud to be from Tulsa after watching it. Others wrote they were appalled and said to pray for children involved.
Officer MacKenzie cautioned parents to get involved in their children's social media accounts to monitor what they are doing.
"There are cameras everywhere," Officer MacKenzie said. "You might think you are doing something that no one will know or see, but the possibility of someone filming it or sharing are great nowadays."
Officers said if someone in the video is a minor or did not want their video published in the montage, they can contact police.

The seedy world of Russian virginity dealers who reportedly sell girls as young as 17 to wealthy businessmen has been revealed.
Networks of specialist dealers and scouts actively recruit virgins and link them to wealthy men, a new report has claimed.
It suggests they take a cut of the fees which can range between a few hundred and tens of thousands of pounds.
But women aren't just selling their virginity through dealers as some even do it directly themselves, the report states.
It found that in other cases women place their own advertisements selling the “right to the first night” on forums and dating websites typically offering themselves to “adult, affluent man”.
The virginity dealers look for girls online and post adverts on forums and social media.
One advert from a forum called Bad girls club said: “Looking for virgin girls under 19….Smart, beautiful, charming, from any cities in Russia. We pay tickets to Moscow and back, 1-2 days….Type of girls - as on the photo.”
It had then posted a photo of a girl wearing lingerie in a revealing pose on a bed. It is not known whether the image used was of a woman whose virginity was being sold.
Another Russian social media forum recruiting young women is called Desperate Virgins’ Club.
Shockingly these forums get thousands of girls signing up.
A 19 year old girl from Moscow naming herself Milana Mercer wrote on one of the adverts: "Selling virginity, please send me a private message. I am from Moscow, I'm 19, 175 cm (tall), weight - 65 kg.”
Another said: “Girl. 17. Selling virginity. Details in private messages.”
The dealers boast about the wealth these girls and young women can get from selling their first time.
One promoting a virginity buying and selling site said: "Marina sold her virginity for 1.5 million roubles (£18,900), and bought a great apartment.” with an image of a woman, although it is also not clear if the use of the picture was genuine.
The report was published by lifestyle website Bumaga.
A 20-year-old called Anastasia from rust belt industrial city Magnitogorsk told the site she is currently offering to sell her virginity to help pay for cancer treatment for her mother.
She is waiting for an offer of 300,000 roubles - or £3750, said the report.
And an 18-year-old girl called Lena from Moscow said: “Instead of just losing my virginity, it’s better if I make some money from it."
Dasha, 19, claimed the act wasn't prostition .
She said: "It's not prostitution. I want to meet a wealthy man and try to get into a relationship with him."
While others wanted to get money to help their career prospects.
Rita, 18, from Rostov said: "To start a business, you need capital.
“You can't make a lot having a regular job, but here you don't even need to do anything.”
Dmitry, 38, from Siberia said he had twice “bought” 18-year-old virgins aiming to find a wife who had “not had someone”.
The first cost £1,250, the second £880, but he failed to find the woman he was after.
He said the first girl he "bought" wanted to pay for her move to a new city.
Dmitry said: “She tried (during sex) not to show emotions. I asked her how she felt, and she said it was unpleasant at first and then she started enjoying it.”
And bisexual Anna, 24, a married medical company executive, said she paid between £250 and £500 for virgins behind her husband’s back because girls on dating websites seem “vulgar and dirty…it’s better to take someone who wasn’t touched”.
Teams of scouts recruit suitable girls to sell on.
One of them, Marina, said she sold her virginity to a businessman for £7,000 which she spent on plastic surgery - but now, seven years later, she acts as a “manager” - or agent - linking teenage girls to wealthy clients.
The report into the world of Russian virginity selling found that “On average girls are paid 200,000-300,000 ruble (£2,500 to £3,750)."
It also found that payment depends on age and appearance.
It said: “The perfect type is 17-to-18 years old, short, very cute and modest.
“On average every manager sells up to 10 virgins a month, wanting around 300,000 ruble (£3,750) a month.”
It is thought that between 20 and 50% is added onto the selling price which acts as the agent's fee.
Those selling their virginity are expected to show a medical certificate confirming they have not had sex.
But many women “go through surgery to restore their hymens”, then “swindle” men into believing they are still virgins and cashing in on the lucrative market, according to the Bumaga report.
Sergey Chumakov, general director of Lancet Surgery Centre, said: “This is a popular service….
“Many have this surgery done several times. I know there were cases when girl had this surgery done 15 times.”
Elena, 22, from Moscow told Bumaga that she sold her 'virginity' twice and is not planning to stop.
She said: “This is now my job and I can live on the money I'm paid for a couple of months."
In 2016 model Anna Feschenko, 17, flew to Dubai aiming to sell her virginity for £9,600 to a wealthy Arab man, according to her travelling companion.
Anna’s mother contacted police and the teenager returned from the United Arab Emirates.
She did not comment on whether she had in the end sold her virignity.
Her friend called Ekaterina said: "It is a privilege in the UAE to be a virgin.
"I think Anna was just impressed with the amount of money she could get.”
In a recent case, a mother was detained for seeking to sell her 13 year old daughter’s virginity to a businessman.
Irina Gladkikh, 35, an estate agent, travelled to Moscow from Chelyabinsk with the underage girl in order to sell her “first night” to a “rich client” for £19,100.
In a confession on video she said: “We came to Moscow to get to know a rich man, in order to get financial help for providing sexual services by my daughter.”
The mother and her friend were detained in a police sting operation at a floating restaurant in Moscow.
A 17-year-old from Krasnoyarsk using the nickname Shatuniha was reported to have sold her virginity in an online auction for around £20,000.
She told would-be buyers four years ago: “I am in urgent need of money, so I am selling the most precious thing I possess. I am ready to meet up soon, even as soon as tomorrow, and I am ready to have my virginity verified.”
She would go to Hotel Amaks in the city “with a document confirming my virginity, and with a person who will take the cash and leave, so that I am not fooled.
“This person will take away the money, but I will stay... The money should be cash only.”
