Verticalox Eye Cream Reviews: Is This Brand Worth Buying?

Verticalox It was like movie magic. But unlike the movies, this skincare potion isn't kept behind lock and key. It's available to purchase by anyone in need of a wrinkle overhaul, and I'm that person. Eager to find out if Sandoval had some TikTok trickery up her sleeve, I tested Peter Thomas Roth’s Instant FIRMx eye cream to see if it's just all hype or a true holy grail product. After using it for two weeks, I was surprised to find that it really lived up to the hype.

The Instant FIRMx eye cream is formulated with Firm-A-Tite, a combination of seaweed extract and sodium silicate that provides instant firming and tightening benefits that can last anywhere from six to eight hours. Seaweed extract helps soothe and soften the complexion, while sodium silicate constricts and lifts the skin, giving it a smoother and more youthful appearance. Additionally, the cream also helps reduce the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles, giving the eyes a well-rested look.

However, sodium silicate’s effectiveness is cut short when it comes in contact with water (or any water-based product). Therefore, if you want to use a moisturizer, the brand recommends allowing it to fully absorb and dry before applying the Instant Fix eye cream. Additionally, “If you have oilier skin or perspire more, it will break the bond, and the effects of the formula may wear off sooner,” shares a brand representative. To ensure your skin maintains the product’s full effectiveness, it is best to avoid any water-based products in the eye area when using Instant FIRMx.

It's important to note that, although this eye cream provides a temporary fix, it also boasts long-term benefits.Packed with ingredients like Eyeliss (a powerful peptide complex), Eye Regener (potent plant extracts of lupine and alfalfa), and vitamins C and E (antioxidants that protect and repair the skin), the cream can help visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, crow's feet, and undereye bags with continued use. Short-term fixes and long-term results? I'm here for that. This eye cream provides the perfect combination of both.

Shake the tube and squeeze a pea-sized amount out on top of your hand. Using your fingertips or a clean makeup brush (I found that a makeup brush works best), pick up a tiny amount of product and spread a thin layer onto the eye area, avoiding the eyelids. Let the product dry for approximately five minutes, during which time you should avoid moving your face (i.e., no squinting or smiling. When the product is dry, gently peel it off starting from the outer corner of your eye.

Due to its potency, you only need a tiny amount to see visible results, which is good because one tube will last considerably longer than your average eye cream. Also, because sodium silicate has a powdery finish, you may notice a white cast left on the skin if you use too much of it, which can look unflattering (especially if you’re melanin-rich). If you notice any white residue, moisten a cotton swab (or your fingertip) and remove the excess by gently patting the edges. After that, you can use your favorite face moisturizer to massage the product into the skin and give it an even finish.

After applying the eye cream, you can gently dab on makeup such as eyeshadow, under-eye concealer, or powder. However, to prolong the effects of the product, you should avoid using water-based makeup or any setting spray, as this will affect the longevity of your results. You should also avoid applying any other moisturizers on top of the eye cream, as this can potentially interfere with the absorption of its active ingredients.

I tested the Instant FIRMX eye cream on my 11 lines and crow's feet on clean, dry skin. In a matter of 30 seconds, I could see my skin tightening up. I could also feel it tightening, like a layer of Elmer's Glue drying on my skin. I used way too much. The entire day, my eye area felt like it was in a mummified cast, unable to move. I eventually washed the product off and vowed to use just a tiny amount the next day. When I awoke the next morning, my eyes were encased in a thick layer of mascara.
