It wasn't surprising to see that a naked photo shoot involving Venus Williams yielded impressive results—she follows a fitness regimen that would make most grown men weep.
But even though the tennis great is already the picture of grace and athleticism on a daily basis, posing nude for ESPN the Magazine 's annual "Body Issue" still required some styling, of course.
And Angela Meadows, the Miami-based stylist and salon owner who worked with Venus, knew what she wanted to do to put together a grand-slam look.
"I wanted Venus's hair to be long and sexy to match her silhouette," Meadows exclusively tells E! News. "To achieve this look, I used Angela Meadows hair extensions and just a little product so the wind could blow through her hair to create a goddess look. The makeup artist, Natasha Gross, just used a little moisturizer on Venus' body that gave her amazing skin a beautiful glow."
Indeed, it was no-clothing-no-problem for the 34-year-old, whose strong physique and radiant skin were on full display—along with the impressive profile view of her kickass bottom.
"Posing by the rock was the last shot of the day," Meadows said, talking about the pose that ultimately became the ESPN cover. "Despite how uncomfortable it was, Venus being such a pro, she nailed the shot after a couple frames."
"It was extremely hot and the sand got in our eyes," the stylist recalled, "but it didn't prevent us from getting the best shot. The sun gave us perfect lighting.
Meanwhile, it was all apparently in a day's work for the nine-time Grand Slam champion, who has won each of the four majors at least once.
"I can tell that this shoot was very easy for Venus because she's comfortable in her skin and she was really relaxed," Meadows said. "Also, the shoot was very minimal which made the process less stressful."
It was indeed minimal, especially in the wardrobe department! Michael Phelps , Amy Purdy and Tomas Berdych were among the athletes who also stripped for the 2014 issue.
And comfort in one's own skin runs in the family for Venus.
Sister Serena Williams was on ESPN 's Body Issue cover in 2009, begging the question of what it might be like to work with one versus the other.
"There was no sibling rivalry at all," Meadows said. "Actually, Serena called Venus during the shoot to offer encouraging words that showed her support. I love shooting with both Serena and Venus because they each have beautiful hair with amazing texture. They make my job easy!"
We bet the photographer said the exact same thing.

We know its #MCM, but Venus Williams is riding the crush wave today. Venus Williams strips all her clothes for ESPN’s annual Body Issue .
Marking their 6th year, the tennis extraordinaire shows off her assets in her birthday suit. With only her smile and lengthy tresses, Williams poses outdoors as the sun glistens on her perfectly shaped physique. She completes the looks using the sand as her feet prop with her left foot beveled and arm draped across her chest to cover her boobs.
“It didn’t dawn on me until right when I walked on set that I would have to be without clothes,” Williams told the mag during her nude shoot. “If I would have thought about it before, there may have been a little less of a chance.”
The sports publication will continue to release more photos of naked athletes before their issue hits stands on July 11th.

Tennis star recently opened her fourth Jamba Juice franchise
Venus Williams is juicing – no not that kind of juicing. Aside from being one of the top-ranked tennis stars, the 34 year old is part-owner of a Jamba Juice chain, and claims it’s the combination of juices and exercise that is helping prepare her for the upcoming U.S. Open starting on August 25. Williams joined us in the FOX411 studio to discuss her predictions for the U.S. Open, and why she decided to pose nude.
FOX411: You were in the ESPN Body Issue where you posed nude. Why did you decide to do it? Venus Williams: Serena had done it before, so I thought maybe I could do it, too. It was definitely a new kind of experience. It’s definitely a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing, and leave it at that.
FOX411: Kate Upton recently said in an interview that she would not pose naked because of Internet trolls. How do you deal with the haters online? Williams: I don’t go online. I don’t try to read any comments or things like that. It’s pretty easy to stay away from that.
FOX411: What is it about the green juice that makes celebs guzzle it down? Williams: For me, it’s a wonderful way to maintain my energy. I train for hours, and hours, and hours. It’s an easy way to get your vitamins. It’s an easy way to live healthfully, and that’s what Jamba Juice does, tries to simplify ways for people to live healthfully quickly because everybody’s so busy.
FOX411: What is it like being a celebrity small business owner? Williams: It’s always something my parents encouraged us to do is to work for yourself – own your own business. It’s been beyond my dreams. I always dreamed of playing and winning titles just the other opportunities that come with it.This is a great opportunity.
FOX411: Who’s going to win the U.S. Open this year – you or Serena? Williams: I would love if it just said Williams in general because it was Serena and one day they made a mistake and said, “Oh, Venus won that year.” It would be wonderful to play well at that event. I’ve done well at the event before, so hopefully I can take that experience and make good on it.
