Velura ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
The short version: Velura does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything happens on your device.
1. Information We Collect
None.
Velura is a stand-alone photo-editing tool. It does not include analytics, telemetry, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or any third-party tracking. We do not have servers that receive your data — because we do not have servers at all.
2. How Velura Uses Your Photos
When you pick a photo through the system Photo Picker, Velura reads it only into memory on your device for the duration of your editing session. Photos are:
- Never uploaded to any server
- Never shared with any third party
- Never analyzed for any purpose other than what you visibly do in the editor
- Discarded from memory when you close the project
The only photo-related write that leaves the app is saving your exported design to your own Photos library, and only when you explicitly tap Export. This requires your permission via the standard iOS prompt.
3. Data Stored On Your Device
Velura uses Apple's standard UserDefaults (via SwiftUI @AppStorage) to remember two preferences across launches:
- Your selected export format (JPG quality or PNG)
- Whether haptic feedback is enabled
These preferences live entirely on your device and are removed if you uninstall the app. They are never transmitted anywhere.
4. Third-Party Services
Velura uses no third-party services, SDKs, analytics, ad networks, or tracking technologies.
The only Apple frameworks the app uses are public, on-device frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit, Photos, Core Image) — these run locally and do not send your data to Apple or anyone else.
5. Permissions Velura Requests
Photos — Add to Library: Required only when you tap Export so the app can save your finished design to your camera roll.
You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Velura.
6. Children's Privacy
Velura does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. It is safe for users of all ages.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this policy, the new version will be published here with an updated Effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
