I was extremely surprised, and pleasantly, after receiving this keyboard. It's sturdy, the keys have a really nice sound to them, and there are even bonus additions that were not pictured when I originally ordered. Pros: The keystrokes are solid and have a pleasant sound to them. It's not a high-pitched clacking, but almost a muffled sort of thud. This is the quietest mechanical keyboard I've ever owned, while still retaining that distinct mechanical sound. There were extra keycaps for further customization included in the package, as well as a tool for safely prying key caps off of the keyboard. As pictured, I swapped my Escape key cap out for the provided extra panda. There were several white-colored key caps provided that also had pandas on them, and a blank space-bar keycap to replace the printed panda if so inclined. I have 0 experience swapping key caps out, so it was an extremely easy process that needed no real direction. The mat is large and well-made. The colors are vivid, the edge sewing is nice and tight, and the backing is rubber so the mat won't slide around on the desk. Even the panda plushy is seemingly well-made. I had intended to give it to my dog as a cuddle-toy for her bed, but it's actually cute enough that I left it on my desk. Cons: The LED backlights are distracting to me. They pulse rather than staying on continuously while the keyboard is in use. Because of that, I actually prefer to use this keyboard with the backlight turned off. (Press Fn + Right Arrow to toggle lights.) The dark grey caps fight nicely in the overall color and design, but I wish the letters printed on those caps in particular were white. They're black on dark-grey, so in low-light or for anyone with less than stellar vision, you'll find yourself squinting at the keys to read what's printed there. Overall: I'm absolutely thrilled with this addition to my setup. It's cheerful, the design is interesting and consists of a great color scheme, I wasn't even looking for a mat but as soon as I put it down I realized I had been missing out, and I have a cute little stuffed animal to boot. This purchase was worth every penny, even with the LED pattern leaving something to be desired.

Was looking for a keyboard to replace my CMSTORM MX Blue switch keyboard as it's standing on its last legs after years of use. Simply put this is an amazing upgrade to me. I got the MX Blue switches option again and I am even more impressed than I thought i'd be. I suppose with the way the switches are built into the board it makes it quieter? That's the takeaway for me at least. They're not nearly as loud as my last mechanical experience. The caps feel really nice too. Has texture to them my old kb didn't have that has it feeling more comfortable. The goodies that came along with it are also a fun and somewhat unexpected surprise to me. The desk mat is absolute high quality with a rubber bottom and 35x15" which is something I was looking for in the first place. The little panda stuffed animal is also nice and soft.

I'm a bit of a keyboard fanatic. I own 4 1990/91 IBM Model M's, a variety of Leopold, Happy Hacking, and other high end keyboards. I've always loved mechanical switches and clicky keyboards. This all changed about a week ago when I was fitted with hearing aids. All of a sudden, my beloved keyboards began sounding like machine guns going off inside my head. I began seeking a solution and ran across the Cherry MX Black Silent switches, but what keyboard to try them out in? I ran across this Panda keyboard and bought it. It's a stunning work of art in it's own right. The PBT keycaps feel as great as they look. And, I'm in love with the Silent Black switches--they are quiet and have a very good feel to them and I don't have a sense of giving up something to get the quiet. My highest recommendation.
This keyboard is one of the few keyboards on the market right now with the option for Cherry MX silent black switches. With the silent black switches, this keyboard is a very silent, even more so than most membrane keyboards. The way these switches are built with internal dampeners make them quiet on both the down stroke and the upstroke. Comparatively, having O-rings installed will only dampen the down stroke. So these silent black switches are superior to having O-rings on normal black switches. Comparing these switches to the silent red switches, the actuation force on these particularly switches are on the heavier end. Even as someone who is used to the IBM model M, I'm finding that these keys to be quite heavy. Personally, heavier is okay because it prevents bottoming out, which is another source of noise. Overall the build quality on this keyboard is expected for its price. It feels solid and is quite heavy. For me, the main difference between a good board and a cheap board is the stabilizers. Prior to this, I tried a $60 keyboard with regular black switches. Although black switches are linear, the stabilizers on that board made it sound on par with a board with blue switches. My only gripe with this keyboard is the fact that it has a mini-USB connector. This is 2019....I want the USB-C. Why is it even mini USB, and not a micro USB even?
One of the best looking keyboards i've had. It even came with a cute panda stuffed animal and mousepad to match. But sadly the windows button broke and some keys stopped registering all the time. Had to return it, it was really great build quality but my must have been made bad. really sad about the outcome, might try another varmilo keyboard someday, MAKE SURE YOU CAN RETURN IT IF YOU WANT
