I am Timmerz and this is my channel. Although most of my content is vaping related, I do not consider my channel to be a vaping channel. I like to try to go off-topic and talk about other aspects of life. Sometimes I just talk about vaping, sometimes I tell a story right in the middle of a review.

Home Vape Pens Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus Review: Big Battery + Mesh Coils = Winner?
I was really pleased with the Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus, very easy to use and portable. It is another pen type vape but sometimes, that’s all you need.
Hello all. My name is Ian and I'm a 47 year old Care Worker, husband and father. My Youtube Vape channel was started in 2018 and has 81,000 views and counting.
I started my vaping lifestyle back in 2014 when me and my wife both decided to pack in the cigarettes. It wasn't an easy task at first as I had smoked since the age of 15, so, that would make nearly 30 years on the dreaded cigarettes.
After around six months switching between cigarettes and vaping, I finally kicked the habit and became a full time vaper. Vaping is a way out of smoking, not only does it save you money, it may, one day, save your life.
For anyone wanting to stop smoking cigarettes, all I would say is stick with it. Nothing in life comes easy, believe me when I say, you will soon start feeling the benefits both in monetary terms and above all, feel healthier. Happy vaping

The Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus is a pen style vape mod with a large internal, non-removable battery topped off with the a huge 8ml (non TPD) integrated tank.
Vaporesso haven’t been around for an awful long time in the grand scheme of things, forming in 2015 with their parent company, SMOORE, which was formed in 2006.
I do have to admit though, Vaporesso have made some very attractive devices recently with the Luxe Nano and the Aurora Play . I myself reviewed the Vaporesso Armor Pro Kit back in August 2018 and still use it to this day.
The Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus is the larger sibling to the Sky Solo with increased battery and e-liquid capacity. The Sky Solo line seems to be the newer, updated versions of the Vaporesso Veco line of pen type mods running the newer GT Meshed coils.
I received the Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus in Black as you can see from the image above. The kit does come in four colours in total, Black, Silver, Rainbow and Blue.
This was sent to me for review. As always, I will give you my own, honest opinion of this product after a lengthy testing period.

The Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus comes in a simple box with plastic insert where all the contents sit. It is solidly built with no sharp or protruding edges. The fire button sits nicely on the front of the device surrounded by the LED indicator and has a nice throw to it, you don’t have to press too hard to fire the device.
The design is a simple pen style which makes it very portable with good battery life with it’s 3000mAh capacity.
A simple design with an integrated tank on top but this does mean you are unable to put your own tanks on top.
As previously mentioned, the tank on this kit is integrated with the device. I received the review unit with the HUGE 8ml capacity glass though if you live in a TPD region, you will only receive a 2ml capacity tank in the kit.
The Tank is, as I always say, your standard, “Plug and Play”, screw in coil type and very easy indeed to change out.
To insert the coil into the tank, simply screw in the coil to the top part of the mod, put the Glass over the coil then simply screw the top part of the tank down.
Be very careful if you are removing the glass as it is very hard to remove and when I was taking the kit apart for this review, the glass did crack, and I am not a very heavy handed person.
If you look closely at the Vaporesso Sky Solo Kit above, you get two airflow holes at either side, but you can not alter the airflow as it is fixed and unmovable. It is always wide open and is a pretty airy vape, that’s just something to note if you like a rather restricted vape.
Filling the Vaporesso Sky Solo Tank couldn’t be simpler. Simply unscrew the Top Cap from the tank and you are met with a sizeable fill port and you will easily be able to decant your chosen e-liquid from most bottles.
The two coils provided were GT Meshed Coils 0.18ohm, 50 to 85W. In all honesty, the flavour from these was pretty good from a stock coil and pretty much on par with your standard rebuildable tank.
As with most pen style vape kits , what you get is something pretty basic and there’s no getting away from it, this device is in that category.
The Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus uses the Omni Board Mini offering you multiple protections, burn, no load, ESD Circuit, low power, overtime, overcharge, short circuit and low resistance. This pretty much covers you in the case of any malfunctions should they happen to the device.
The Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus performs very admirably indeed. It’s a reasonably quick firing mod, you certainly don’t have to wait very long to be able to vape.
Throughout my time using the kit, I used a 70VG/30PG e-liquid with the pre-installed coil.
The longevity of the battery is ok dependent on your usage. I can get up to four hours with the type of vaping I do. The recharge time was pretty swift, fully charged from dead took around 110 minutes via USB.
On the plus side, you can charge the device while you are out and about in your car or via any other suitable external USB charger.
I have always been a fan of the Vaporesso GT Meshed coils, I use them in my Cascade Baby tank and the flavour with them is very good. Ok, it might not be the top of the line rebuildable tank but they are certainly a very solid vape. The longevity of the coils, as always, depends on the type of e-liquid you use and your vaping style.
On an average basis, I got around two weeks before it needed a change.
The vapor production from the Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus took my a little by surprise, I was expecting an average cloud but you can really chuck out some big clouds from this thing with a little bit of effort, if that’s your thing.
All in all, my time with the Vaporesso Sky Solo Plus has been quite enjoyable and certainly, the Pros far outweigh the Cons.
I would call it an intermediate type vape. It’s a step up from the multitude of Pod systems out there but it’s not quite a full blown device with all the different setting that comes with it. It is easy to use though and coils are readily available, easy to replace and give good flavour.

Mine is flashing 3 reds an want fire! What do I need to do ? I just bought it an with covid going on they don’t take nothing back!
Hi should a light stay on when charging a sky solo plus
I have had my vaporesso plus for about 6 months and I’m just over it. I’ve sunk in a lot of money trying to find the right device and ended up with a box full of random devices and coils.. now the pros: liquids taste great! Superb actually and it feels like it hits with the right amount of power. Cons: which are HUGE! The thing leaks all over the place … I have to keep a napkin around it at all times when not in use and it doesn’t matter what position it’s in.. I’ve replaced coils, runner rights, etc.. nothing works. I want to find a take like this output that I don’t waste a ton of liquid and smell like it all day. Considering the innokin zenith.. anyone have experience with this or recommend another tank like the vaporesso without the issues?
when I put mine in the charger the light is red does this mean it’s full or that it’s still charging? if so when do I know its full?
To charge the Mod shouldn’t take too long, I can’t remember the exact time off the top of my head but if I remember correctly, it was around two hours. When the device is fully charged it will show a green light, red if it has no life left.
The only reason I can imagine it being red is that there is no battery power left and isn’t charging correctly. Maybe try a different power cable and have a lot at the USB port on the device for any defect
Seems that a red light just means it’s charging – green light it’s fully charged.
How long is it suppose to take to charge?
Is there any alternative tank for Vaporesso sky solo plus? Coz its easily breakable
Unfortunately, there is no other Tank you can put on top of the Sky Solo Plus. May I suggest you put one of those rubber “vape bands” around the glass. This doesn’t stop breakages but it certainly reduces them.
I plugged in my sky solo vapour to recharge and it didn’t work. Can you part recharge? What am I doing wrong? I’m a first time user and the instructions aren’t specific for recharging. Thankyou
Yes, you can part re-charge, you don’t need to wait until it’s fully charged, though you would be running back to the power outlet much sooner.
That been said, when you plug the Mod in to recharge, you should see a charging light come on, if this isn’t happening then there may be a fault with the device.
Can you use 0.3 ohm coil on this device? As I am a heavy smoker, I need higher PG liquids with more nicotine level, I would love to be able to have a bit higher resistance on it.
Hi,
The recommended wattage for the 0.3ohm coil is 35-40W – the power range of the Sky Solo Plus is 90W
Now, I’m not saying it won’t work, you could try it and the worst case scenario is you will get a burnt out coil.
