The hottest, most beautiful wife in the world on our honeymoon July 2009.
She drives me crazy! My beautiful hot wife has the most amazing, athletic, gorgeous legs you're ever going to find.

She was just chillin' on the balcony, but she had me speechless just because of these unbelievable legs. My wife is gorgeous, and these legs, my God these legs.

My wife and I had a brief vacation at the Cinque Terre, the place of our honeymoon. Sweet memories resonating with our souls and with our present. I realised that I did not really remember that amazing sea, so I tried to capture it. In this shot I wanted to celebrate the power of the POV - an amazing situation, since I usually love low POVs, but then, there is no generally perfect POV, of course.
Single RAW file processed with Darktable and the Gimp, then finished with Color Efex Pro 4.
You're pulling on my heartstrings everyday
Just as long as we walk in paradise
. . . A thousand laughs, hurting cheeks, dumb hours, and everything when I'm with you, baby ;)
Let me tell you what she means to me
Kinda like the feeling after your first kiss
Except that everyday she makes me feel like this
She's soothing like the ocean rushing on the sand
She's so beautiful, sometimes I stop to close my eyes

Need a 6 month vacation twice a year. Let's do this!
Dance like you on fire and ya want me to know
You move like you mean it, shawty, see the look on your face
You either wanna fight or wanna make love, maybe both, oh
You got me looking at you, looking at you, watching
One more time, girl, wind and pop it, yeah, yeah
Oh, but that drink got me feeling alright
Pretty little thing, I could watch it all night
Pull up on that bumper, girl, I just might
Pull up on that bumper, girl, I just might
Baby, push back when I jump behind it, when I jump behind it
So when I jump behind it, push back on me
So baby, push back when I jump behind it
Tonight, let's give 'em something to see
So while on vacation my wife went out shopping so I headed down to the beach to catch some waves..
Later I'll go for swim and get some sun...
I've always been a sucker for any kind of old vehicle so when I'm on vacation with the wife at a location where she wanted to visit and I find one, it's just a bonus!! In Laurel, Mississippi where Erin and Ben Napier live, work, and film their hit HGTV show "Home Town", this 1953 Chevrolet ¾ ton Pick-up is sitting just outside the Laurel Mercantile (one of the locations of the wife's interest!). Why not find things that make you both happy...?!?
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

My wife and I were first introduced to this delicious combination on our first vacation to Mexico 30+ years ago. It was prepared and served to us this way every morning. It has been a treat for us ever since.

My wife and kids though very accommodating, always make a little fun about all the gear on drag every day during our vacations. My camera bag is nick named the baby and of course one can not leave a baby alone at home. But their patience is limited and I can not stop every five minutes to take pictures while they are working to get to each of their destinations. So I took one day for myself, rented and Jeep, and just about went through the entire Kauai Island from 6 am to 8 pm and made a stop at just about every location where something caught my eye. I found this little tree on the way to Waimea Canyon on the roadway heading to a little Church in the middle of nowhere. Certainly the rest of the family would have found this place very boring but being by myself with the baby for the day I stopped at every location I wanted to and had a blast :)
Where do I even begin with this one? My wife had vacationed here after our stay in Vegas, I rented a Mustang for my wife as an anniversary present, we both expressed a desire to see the bay. The view was beautiful to say the very least. Across the water was a Naval Base where we saw submarines emerge underwater, my wife pointed that out to me (she's a Military Brat), and I expressed a desire to drive the connecting bridge between Diego and Coronado (I didn't know the name of the latter city yet).
Sidebar: Does anyone remember Simon & Simon (the 80s action comedy)? Well, on our final night in San Diego, we got to drive the Coronado Bridge. For decades I've been wondering what the name of bridge was at the beginning of every episode. I'd also found out that due to restraints of various locations, the first season of S&S was filmed in San Diego, the remaining 7 seasons were filmed in L.A..
Hopefully the next time we visit Cali, we'll stay for a few weeks instead of a few days. Remember, at this time we were celebrating out anniversary, and we was in Las Vegas previously.
My wife and I house-sat for some friends while they were away. Turns out that a local Great Blue Heron likes to use floating dock as place to hunt fish. Shot just after landing as the sun was just starting to get low in sky!

My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and this was the last day of our vacation. We were at St. Regis Resort in Bora Bora watching the sun setting behind Mt. Otemanu (means a sea bird in Tahitian). It was a beautiful moment that I felt worth a capture and was my way of saying thank you to this beautiful part of the world. As they say in Tahitian, 'Maururu Bora Bora'.
My wife and I are enjoying our Corona vacation near our home town.
We, as many of us, should have been on a nice round trip but due to the Corona pandemic we had to cancel it all and are just driving to places nearby.
My wife, friends and I vacationed in Egypt a few years ago. This shot was taken while cruising on the Nile near Aswan. It brings back great memories.
My wife and I vacationed at the US west coast this. We visited Olympic Nat. Park and drove south through the Oregon coast down to San Francisco, California. This colorful sunset took place at Bandon, Oregon. The contrast of the firy sky and the stacks rising from the tranquil waters (i.e., at least on this evening) of the Pacific were a sight that will not be soon forgotten.
My wife and I had a brief vacation at the Cinque Terre, the place of our honeymoon. Sweet memories resonating with our souls and with our present. I realised that I did not really remember that amazing sea, so I tried to capture it. This is the third member of a series named "Tales from the borders", featuring the fascinating world at the boundary between the rocks and the sea - the two natural elements that have moulded those renowned villages and the lives of generations upon generations of their dwellers.
This is a detail of the rocks near Riomaggiore, the southernmost village of the Cinque terre. I love how the sea and the rocks hug and cling to each other - their endless interplay. Their timeless love - sometimes sweet and playful, sometimes stormy and violent.
I have processed a single shot with Darktable and then by luminosity masks with the Gimp. Some touches of final varnish with Color Efex.
Thanks for visiting! Most photos are of Mei, my wife and muse.

My wife and I recently visited north Wales, what a stunning part of the world. This shot was taken at Morfa Nefyn Beach which is located on the North coast of the Llyn peninsula. We were on the beach at 6.30am ready for the sunrise.

Something from the vaults (albums/folders) of my faithful iPhone! My wife and I vacationed in California and needless to say we drove up and down the coastline. We stayed at an Air Bed and Breakfast (Air B&B) in San Diego, drove through the smog of L.A., visited some friends of ours outside of Bakersfield, but my wife and I spent a huge majority of our time in Oceanside. I’d really love to move out west, and should we move to Cali, I told my wife that I want Oceanside to be our first option. I really can’t wait to hit Cali again, my wife has been multiple times, I’ve only been just the one time, but we’ve considered the pros and cons, and we are prayerfully keeping our options open. Vegas and Phoenix are also in the brain as well!
Vacations are very different this year.
Due to this I am browsing my shots from last years where my wife and I took a super crazy trip to the North Cape in Norway.
The crazy thing was that we took a 16 year old Smart Fortwo.
You can read all about it on my blog if yo follow:
My wife agreed to a "slight" detour on our family vacation in April. Sumner, MS was only a couple of hours out of the way but Grady and I were able to see the Mississippi Delta Railroad grabbing a car off the CN interchange and got plenty of equipment shots in Sumner. Grand plans for this shortline company and a great paint scheme! Thanks TR for the intel.

Memories from Tuscany. My beautiful wife enjoying the amazing view!
San Gimignano is an Italian hill town in Tuscany, southwest of Florence. Encircled by 13th-century walls, its old town centers on Piazza della Cisterna, a triangular square lined with medieval houses. It has a skyline of medieval towers, including the stone Torre Grossa. The Duomo di San Gimignano is a 12th-century church with frescoes by Ghirlandaio in its Santa Fina Chapel.
My wonderful wife enjoying the view!

Last month my wife and I took a much needed vacation with our pup Maggie to Ohio's Hocking Hills region. We stayed at a cabin at High Rock Hideaways located not far from Ash Cave. A recent post I had seen in the Hocking Hills group intrigued me when I saw that the property boasted 9 waterfalls on their own trails. Booked. Our first day there Maggie and did some exploring on the trails so I could get a feel for the area but some light drizzle had me thinking we better return and it was a good idea. Within 15 minutes of arriving to the cabin it was raining. The next afternoon I headed out to explore these waterfalls more closely. The first falls I visited was called The Slide. Arriving at the top, it was a steep cascade waterfall that dropped at least 40 foot into a mini slot canyon. While standing there I noticed an undocumented arch in the cliff opposite the falls. Going to take a closer look at the arch I discovered a manageable scramble downstream from the falls. The scramble took me past two more waterfalls which were not really worth shooting. Once in the gorge I had to do some creek crossings and then a short scramble up the base of the falls which was a short dog leg to the main drop. Wow! I couldn't believe my eyes! Hands down one of the regions prettiest waterfalls and was the icing on the cake of a great trip with my wife and pup!

My wife had told me that after lunch she wanted to rest at the hotel and after, go for a walk and shopping, so I took the opportunity to investigate possible routes.
All my life I've heard of the Pasiegos, but I did not really know who they were or where they were.
I searched, asked, inquired, and since I did not have too much time I went to the Pasiegos valleys as a soul that carries the devil.
But the reality is that there is little left of the pure and hard pasiego, which was something like transhumant cattlemen, transporters (in tow), smugglers and a style of living in their "cabañas" pasiegas somewhat different.
Me at mine, to take a few pictures of the valleys and villages belonging to this small ethnical group.
I think, because there was nobody, that this is a sample of their typical cagañas and if you like, it may still be for sale. Or maybe it has sunk.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
