A year after Liberation Day, courtesy of the red-dust bacteria, the humanoid, lizard-like aliens develop a resistance to the micro-organism and try to regain control of the Earth--only now some humans are knowingly working with them.
This series features the characters from the two mini-series about aliens coming to Earth claiming to be friends but in reality have an ulterior motive. The aliens may have been beaten in the mini-series but there are still a lot of them out there. In this series, Nathan Bates, the industrialist who manufactures the biological weapon that was used to defeat the aliens, wants to get his hands on the aliens' technology, so that he could profit from it, makes a deal with Diana, the alien leader. Rebel leaders, Mike Donovan, Ham Tyler, and Julie Parish know that Diana can't be trusted, so they are constantly trying to figure out what Diana is up to and stop her.
All I can say is that this is the only film that I would even put in the same room as the holy trilogy(Star Wars). When Marc Singer starts to uncover the truth about these "visitors" you will get drawn in to it. And the cliffhanger endings will keep you popping in the next tapes to finish it up even though you have to work in the morning. With powerful acting from, Michael Wright( a street smart kid who uses his connections to get sanctuary from the "visitors"), June Chadwick( an ex scientist now rebel leader), and Michael Ironside(a bad guy gone good who brings in his knowledge of guerilla warfare to better the fight for human life) how can you go wrong? So, brew up some coffee and get ready for some of the best TV sci fi you'll ever see. I just wish it had a Jim Carey movie budget!
This series of V was very different to the Mini-Series and The Final Battle episodes. The original series was action packed but it was an allegory of the problems in Germany in the 40&#39;s when the Nazi&#39;s were stepping on people. The original series explored a lot of issues such as the fight between good and evil and the destructive nature of man.<br/><br/>This series did away with most of the above and instead concentrated on producing action, chases, explosions etc.<br/><br/>Old favourites such as Willie, Ham Tyler and Mike Donovan were back. And of course, the wicked Diana was back (looking beautiful than ever). Joining the show were the likes of Lydia who was a rival to Diana and the mysterious Charles. <br/><br/>The shows were very good producing loads of action. It was a good show if a little short-lived. Let&#39;s hope a follow up is done one day because the final episode did leave a lot of loose ends to be tied.
