Dear (Democrat)

I am writing to urge you to vote no on the Equality Act (HR5) when it comes to the senate for vote.

Our society had fought hard to get female students and athletes the equal right to compete in sports and be able to win rewards and recognition for their hard work and talents. Allowing biological male to compete in female sport will be extremely unfair to the biologically female students, and it is ANYTHING but equality for them. It will wipe out all the gain in equal right made through Title IX sports and many other areas. In addition, there are significant safety and privacy concerns for females when biological male students who self-identify as female are given equal access to traditionally female only locker rooms. I don’t think you want this to happen in the locker room you or your female love ones are in. Not to mention the fact that this could be emotionally disturbing to those female athletes that have suffered abuse and sexual misconduct from biological males and still have emotional trauma and fear. It may even lead to a mass exodus of female athletes from sports and competition all together.

When President Biden ran his campaign, he ran on a promise to reunite the divided nation. But barely only one month into his new administration, rushing a bill like this which disenfranchises majority of girls and young women and their parents will achieve just the opposite, dividing this nation further with a wedge issue. And we haven’t even mentioned those immigrants who have religious beliefs and practices that do not allow any biological male to see the females’ bodies.

Right now, we must come together and invest all our time and energy into more important issues such as stabilizing businesses, the urgent need to recover from the devastating pandemic and its effects on people’s livelihoods, people’s access to resources and going back to school and some semblance of life. If you truly represent all the people who live in your district as you have vowed you do, not just a small special interest group, you will weigh out medical and scientific facts against fiction and vote NO on H.R.5.

2. Dear Republican (weak)

I am writing to urge you to vote no on the Equality Act(HR5) when it comes to the senate for vote. It represents a regression on women's right and encroachment on religious liberty.

Our society has fought long and hard to get female students and athletes the equal right to compete in sports and competitions in their own biologically gendered state. Allowing female competitors to exist on all female teams has afforded them the opportunity to win awards and recognition for their hard work and talents. Allowing biological males to compete in female sports will be extremely unfair to the biological females, AND it is anything but equality for them. Scientifically, Male athletes biologically will be stronger, faster, longer endurance and stamina than majority of biological females based on their genetic makeup.

The very notion of accepting biological males that identify as female does not change their biological makeup, and therefore, this Act will wipe out all the gain in equal rights made through Title IX sports and many other areas across the world. In addition, there are significant safety and privacy concerns for females when biological males who identify as females are given equal access to traditionally female locker rooms. Not to mention the fact that this could be emotionally disturbing to those female athletes that have suffered abuse and sexual misconduct from biological males and still have emotional trauma and fear. It may even lead to a mass exodus of female athletes from sports and competition all together.

Its potential harm to religious liberty will not be limited to Christians, although many Christian organizations are going to be among those feeling the threat of lawsuits for perceived discrimination raised by non-binary identifier. There are also those immigrants who have religious beliefs and practices that do not allow any biological male to see the females’ bodies.

I am writing to urge you give your best fight to defeat the Equality Act (HR5) before it gets to the senate, and definitely vote no if it does.

I am sure you know what this bill means to young female students, especially student athletes who are in high school, when biological males are allowed to compete in female sports and enter the female locker rooms. I think you probably know what threat this would bring to the religious liberty which is guaranteed in our 1st amendment, when religious organizations and businesses can be threatened with lawsuits brought up by a non-binary identifier for justly or unjustly perceived discrimination. There is no urgency for a bill like this when the nation’s congress needs to be addressing the devastation of the pandemic, recovery of our economy, our situation with energy, the threat of China, and much, much more. This bill is clearly NOT in the interest of the majority of the people in your district or anywhere in the USA.

But I want to bring to your attention of another aspect of this bill, as for why barely one month into Biden new administration, the Democrats rush a bill so divisive into the house with a thin majority. They are not just doing this to please their extreme progressive base, they are doing this as a show of force. They intend for no uniting of the nation by negotiation and compromise, but only that of dominance and subjection. Once their dominance is established, they will be able to walk all over us with any destructive bill and club down any resistance who still want to save our Republic.

You have been sent to DC to represent the value of the people in your district. We expect you to not only vote no, but also fight hard to persuade others to do the same, to stop such a destructive legislation and defend our value.

Please show that backbone in leading the fight of the minority party in the senate to stop such a destructive legislation and defend our value.
