UrFU Awaits Students from Azerbaijan

Evgenia Saburova, Head of the International Marketing Office, took part in the meeting of the working group for the selection of candidates for Russian Government scholarships for international students.

The working group chaired by the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Azerbaijan Irek Zinnurov, conducted a review of applicants’ portfolios and test results obtained at the first stage of the selection process. Representatives of 12 Russian universities were working together on the candidates’ portfolio assessment in the Russian House in Baku on February 29-March 1 with the participation of colleagues from the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the 2-day meeting, 527 dossiers of prospective students were reviewed. Most applications have been submitted for educational programs in the fields of medicine, information technology, petroleum engineering, and economics.

Under the quota allocated by the Russian Government for admission in the academic year 2024-2025, 270 Azerbaijani citizens can get a scholarship for secondary vocational, higher professional, and additional professional education in Russia.
