It’s almost Halloween and you know what that means… Time to dress your young daughter up as the dirty little whore you know she is! Aren’t you excited!?
It’s an awfully big and overwhelming decision with so many slutty costumes to choose from, so I thought I would help narrow your choices down. I’m a giver like that.
It turns out, no matter what your daughter’s interests are, there’s a trampy costume to fit the bill.
Is she into classic fairy tales? Maybe she’ll get it on with the Big Bad Wolf on her way to grandma’s house this year…
or, perhaps ditch her old sheep stuffed animal in search of a hot farmer!
Will she take from the bad (ugh, parents suck!) and give to the good (hello, liquors stores!) as a Robin Hood/Leprechaun/Hooker?
Does she love cuddly animals? A pussy cat is the perfect bet, of course.
Or, perhaps science is more her thing? In that case, tell her to ditch that crusty old microscope and go the prostitute-lady-bug route instead! A much more lucrative career choice.
If she’s a history buff, she can always go as the least clothed Egyptian mummy ever…

Tell Me How You REALLY Feel…..
So my 14 year old daughter comes to me the other day after being across the street visiting her friend T. I asked her how she was doing, if she had a nice Thanksgiving with her family, etc. My daughter says yes but T is still grounded. I asked why and she said she was sworn to secrecy. After very little prodding she spilled like a gallon of milk on the floor (too easy)….T’s parents saw her MySpace page where she was talking about losing her virginity to her boyfriend. I wish I could say I was shocked….I was surprised but not shocked…..sometimes as a mom you just know……
I was grateful for the opportunity to have a frank discussion with my daughter about sex. It is much easier for me to just comment on Jamie Lynn Spears or Miley Cyrus or the regretful neighbor girl rather than to sit down to some formal “birds and the bees” discussion. R responds well to it also. It’s just a frank, casual conversation about the dangers of teen sex. It’s not something we do every day but when the opportunity arises I take it.
So I asked her, how the heck did this happen? She told me T went with the boyfriend to another friends house where there were no parents around….of course. I also used this opportunity to tell my daughter R that THIS IS WHY we don’t allow her to go to someones house, especially a BOYS HOUSE, with no parents home! She laughed and said she even told T there was NO WAY her parents would have allowed that. That I would have been driving down there to meet this kid’s parents, make sure they would be home, etc.
I know we are strict. EVERYONE knows we are strict. We set the ground rules a long time ago. No makeup in grade school or Jr.High. No dating until high school (and that doesn’t necessarily mean as a freshman either). No “hanging out” at parks or empty houses or wandering around town with no place to go. No high school football games until you are IN high school. No Homecoming dance until you are IN high school. No “hoochie mama” clothes and that includes short shorts. Not even around the house because she has a 10 year old step brother and her ass hanging out of her shorts isn’t appropriate….ANYWHERE!
It isn’t like we don’t allow her to do things. In the summer she volunteers at a local animal shelter. She walks to the pool with her friends. She babysits the neighbor kids. We allow her little group of friends to go to Wal-mart and sometimes she doesn’t even have to bring her little brother! This Friday she is going with her church youth group for a “lock in” all night. So it isn’t like she lives in a convent. But if you saw her, you would understand why we keep that girl on a very short leash. She is gorgeous.
The part that got me the most about our neighbor girl is her dad is DEA. Yes, THAT “D E A”. He’s a cop….not just ANY cop….but a SUPER COP! I have one question. Why wasn’t he scaring the living hell out of this boy when he came to visit his daughter? Why wasn’t he sitting on the couch, polishing his service revolver when he came to pick her up for the Homecoming Dance? WHY? Because all these STUPID parents just want to be their kid’s FRIEND! “well that would be so mean to scare the boy….” people would say. You know what? We Don’t CARE! It isn’t my job to be my kid’s FRIEND! She has plenty of those. We are her PARENTS and part of our job, at least for a while, is to make it perfectly clear to ANY boy that is seeing our daughter that we will not tolerate anything inappropriate on our watch….and the consequences will be dire….and we will be THAT frank about it.
Realistically, my daughter won’t be a virgin when she gets married and I even told her that the other day. Of course, I prefaced it with “I hope you do but let’s be real here…” It just isn’t realistic in this day and age. BUT, I did tell her I would like her to wait until she was out of high school. There is so much emotional baggage that comes with sex and a high school-er just isn’t EQUIPPED to handle it. T was a great example because I asked “Is the boyfriend still around?” and of course, he isn’t. She gave it up and now he has moved on to someone else. She also said T has lots of regrets about the whole thing. Really, I put most of the blame for that on her parents…..what a bunch of dummies……dad could have prevented this whole thing if he would have stepped up and provided some protection for his daughter.
Just goes to show you….you gotta listen to Momma…..
