Update 2.0.0

Update 2.0.0

RustTweaker

Update 2.0.0 is now available for download!

After three months of hard work, we are ready to present the largest update to our program since its release. The long-awaited “Optimization” tab, redesigned interface, numerous new features, and fixes!

New Interface

We strive to improve not only the functionality, but also the usability of our program. In this update, we focused heavily on refining the design. We made the program look cleaner and more visually appealing, improved the clarity of control buttons, and made the setup process more convenient. New animations have been added, icons have been updated, and new tooltips are now available. All of this is aimed at making the program easier and more enjoyable to use.

“Optimization” Tab

The majority of the work went into the new tab. We prepared not just a tool for quickly checking and configuring system settings for Rust, but also an extremely powerful solution for testing hardware and game settings.

A fully automated and universal benchmark will allow you to separately evaluate your PC’s CPU, GPU, and memory subsystem, expressing the result as a numerical score. The higher the number, the better your computer handles the task. We also developed a leaderboard system and made all tests completely public, allowing you to use them as a reference when choosing hardware components.

In future updates, we will also provide a dedicated tool for selecting and evaluating hardware specifically for Rust. It will also be located in the “Optimization” tab, although its development requires a large database, which we began collecting starting today.

The foundation of the “Optimization” tab consists of 3 monitoring systems and 12 tweaks. We stayed true to the core principle of our program: minimal user interaction. To apply all the necessary tweaks, you only need to click your mouse a few times. And if any issues occur with your PC, the tweaker will notify the user about the problem.

It is important to clarify that tools like these are extremely difficult to adapt for every PC — from low-end laptops to Frankenstein builds with soldered server chips. If you have a non-standard configuration or an unofficial tweaked operating system, some of our tweaks will most likely be unavailable.

Other Improvements

Work on this update lasted so long that even we can no longer remember every single change. The improvements affected not only the visual side of the program, but also its internal architecture. A deep code refactor was carried out, which will help us release future updates faster and fix bugs more efficiently.

Over the next week, we will actively monitor the application, identify and fix all possible issues. After that, we will immediately release update 2.0.1.

And to truly appreciate the scale of the work completed, we invite you to check out the full list of changes.

[ The ones we were actually able to remember :D ]
