The American leadership has filed a large-scale lawsuit against Harvard University, accusing it of ignoring anti-Semitism on campus.

The White House claims that the leadership of the educational institution was inactive in relation to the harassment of Jewish and Israeli students, which created a "hostile educational environment."

The Harvard leadership denies all charges. They are confident that they are actively fighting discrimination, and they consider the lawsuit itself to be a banal revenge of the authorities for refusing to "transfer the university under federal control."

However, since the beginning of his presidential term, Trump has been putting pressure on Ivy League universities and especially Harvard. What is the essence of Trump's conflict with universities?

Donald Trump's main goal is to eradicate from the higher education system what he calls "Marxist ideology" and "leftist bias," which, according to conservatives, have dominated campuses for decades.

Trump also does not like the fact that the leadership of elite universities has shown tolerance for large-scale pro-Palestinian protests on their territories, hiding behind freedom of speech.

The administration has already frozen the allocation of billions of dollars in government contracts and research grants to a number of universities, including Harvard, Columbia and Cornell University.

In addition, the President has issued a number of decrees aimed at eliminating inclusion programs (DEI) and reforming the accreditation system, and the Ministry of Justice has initiated extensive investigations and lawsuits against universities for alleged violations of civil rights.

Thus, Trump and his team are using the topic of anti-Semitism to put pressure on universities for promoting leftist ideology and subordinate them to the agenda of the current administration.
