THE ROLE
We are Iridescent Studio and we’re looking for a talented and/or hard-working Middle Unity Developer. In this role, you will resolve any or all client-side issues, define client-server communication and server requirements, assist in game design and its reasonable simplification, coordinate other team members through their daily challenges, and eventually deliver a robust solution. You will directly impact how the code gets better and all the pieces are put together in a successful build.
In this demanding role you’ll be a key engineer that will make sure the product is meeting the growing demand. The role requires a heavy amount of expertise and dedication, so you will be busy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- establishing a detailed program specification/understanding through discussion with clients/product owners
- breaking down the specification into the simplest elements, translating into a programming language
- working as part of a team (BA, PM, UX, UI, QA, etc.)
- conducting QA during the development and installing the program into production
- reacting to issues/bugs reported and fixing the program as necessary
- adapting the program to new requirements (change requests) as necessary
- evaluating and increasing the program's effectiveness
- consulting technical reports to learn new ways to develop software and maintain knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS
- C# and Unity 3D for iOS and Android at an Expert level, WebGL at an Advanced level
- Google VR SDK at an Intern / Advanced level
- 3D (Blender) and 2D (GIMP, Krita, Inkscape) at an Intern level
- understanding VisualGraph, ShaderGraph, DOTS (will be a big plus)
- English proficiency: Intermediate+ (reading, writing, and speaking)
- systemic thinking, understanding of design patterns, and refactoring peculiarities
- B.S. degree, e.g. Bachelor of Applied Mathematics or equivalent background
- understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies
REQUIREMENTS
- ability to develop oneself within a professional field; understanding and usage of "best practices"
- ability to create and maintain project documentation in a timely manner
- ability to work within reasonable autonomy and grant predictability within teamwork
