"Unexpected Events" | Calji

Calcharo has spent countless nights with Jiyan while keeping their relationship a secret. No one ever found out and no one would as both managed to keep everything hidden even while spending each night together by chance. Everything went pretty good just until the mercenary was about to leave as usual in the early morning until he heard the general call him, asking him to come over. Once Calcharo stepped back into the bedroom, he noticed that Jiyan was quite different from what he remembered. The scales on the general's arms covered him even more and a pair of dark grey horns crowned his head whilst he laid on his back as the dragon tail hit against the bed as if Jiyan was an excited puppy rather than a human. But what was the most shocking is the sight of several quite large eggs on the sheets near the male that looked like they came out of nowhere. Calcharo was amused, to say the least, yet walked came over and hesitantly touched Jiyan's horns, slowly moving his hand down until he kneeled over and frowned slightly, trying to understand what was going on. It was the first time when he saw his lover like this and wanted to ask something just now before the general suddenly sat up on the bed and moved the eggs closer to himself.

— I understand how confused you are right now, Calcharo. It is my mistake for not telling you about this. I tend to keep my dragon nature under total control, however last night I've failed. — Jiyan spoke, as he lifted up one of the eggs. — These three.. Will be our children.

Calcharo was perplexed, as he heard such a statement that was quite bold. During his life, he had heard of all kinds of things and was ready to to face anything, but this was something entirely new for sure. At first, he didn't know how to react. All of a sudden, the news hit a storm, leaving him momentarily speechless for a couple minutes until the mercenary straightened out, sighing. The thoughts of immediately getting rid of what would be his offspring eventually worn off as he soon realized that the sight in front of him was his new responsibility. He didn't say anything, still needing some time to think carefully about everything, yet gave Jiyan a short nod before finally leaving. The rest of the day, Calcharo seemed rather concerned to all of his subordinates as he'd constantly hear questions about his well-being and strange condition. He didn't come over to the general's place that night, only studying at the Ghost Hounds headquarters, spending the whole night as he dealt with the new documents on future commissions and other orders from all across Solaris-3.

Only after a few days, Calcharo managed to find some free time after all the hard work to visit the general once again, yet what he didn't expect was to find Jiyan still on call with one of his subordinates near a special device that kept the eyes under soft light and heaters. Once the male stepped inside, causing Jiyan to look up, he walked over to the strange construction and peeked inside, without asking anything before finally switching over to his lover and shortly stepping just closer enough to bury his face in Jiyan's shoulder. It's been a long week for both of them which they clearly understood yet didn't have to speak aloud about it. Calcharo wasn't used to talking about his job and was always rather silent and distant, but even so managed to built a strong emotional connection with Jiyan. Both stood there motionless for some time until noticing that it was almost midnight which wasn't surprising, considering how Calcharo nearly passed out only for the general to quickly catch him and carry him over to the bed. They were both tired, confused, not sure about the future or what was going to happen to their relationship, yet only one thing was clear, they'll go through all of that together.

As several months passed, Jiyan woke up in the early morning, hearing some strange noise, only to find that all of the eggs started getting cracks on them as he quickly took them out and in several minutes before him lied two newborn kids, with small scales on their arms and partially legs. He still couldn't process what just happened as he quite literally gave birth to a whole offspring which were now his and Calcharo's children. The male slightly tilted his head, wondering whatever he's going to tell his lover. That he's a father now?.. That Jiyan did the unbelievable? Alas, he didn't have enough energy for that today as it was his last weekend. Only later, he'll actually show Calcharo his kids, one of them got Calcharo's white hair while keeping Jiyan's golden eyes as the mercenary was shocked for sure, yet didn't run away or freak out. It was his family now, him, his beloved general and their children.
