AA.VV. Mixed Tapes Kept Under My Bed
UMB#01 - CRr, 2002
This is the first release by UMB. It was assembled with the
intent of giving a picture of the as fragmented as lively DIY Italian
scene at the turn of the century. This is mirrored in the differnt contributions
from (more or less) minimal Lo-Fi songwring (Belongs To Me, Bon Voyage, Morose, My Dear Killer,
My Shell, Smou, Something Faded, The Fog in The Shell), alt-pop (Milaus, The Finger), noise and post(ish)-rock signatures (ONQ, The Frozen Fracture, Ultraviolet makes
me sick, Nasten'ka, The Colours Seen from Behind) up to jazz derivative (Comfort Trio).

just short of a decade. To date, one of the Lake's Land best ever bands, blending tastefully melody,
dissonance, rhythmical complexity and dreamful vocals.

My Dear Killer / the FOG in the SHELL My love: a definition
UMB#08 - CDr, 2002
Split shared by My Dear Killer and The Fog In The Shell .
Possibly the best representation of what the so-called "bedroom scene" attitude is about. My Dear Killer picks up
his guitar and sings in front of a cassette tape recorder. Without production or overdubbing
or any embellishment, this is just how the songs flow, never mind the background
noise from the motorway. THEfogINtheSHELL , alternates episode of pure intimacy
( Song for E., Song for M. ), with the warmth and comfort of a rehearsals with friends
( Song for F. ), and collects a live performance of its earlydays classic Sorry . It was reissued with new
graphic layout and a mastering cleanup in 2008, in 25 copies only.

The Frozen Fracture / Morose / Buio Omega I am vertical
UMB#12 - CRr, 2002
Released on 29th anniversary of the poet's departure, I am vertical
is the Under My Bed tribute to the work of Sylvia Plath. The poem is subjected to very personal
interpretations by The Frozen Fracture , Morose and Buio Omega .
The noisy approach of Buio Omega , to in the reflective attitude of Morose , through the clear-cut
guitar style of The Frozen Fracture , define the multi-faceted tone of this release. But, it is the ultimate beauty of
the poet's lyrics which uncovers and permeates the record.

Lorca/Pillow 5 Pezzi Facili (1/5)
UMB#14 - CRr, 2003
First of a series of 5 split EP, Cinque Pezzi Facili (1/5) features contrinutions from Lorca and
Pillow .
"Some Kind of Payoff" is a collection of five mellow, melancholic and
minimal songs, in an ethereal and diffused atmosphere. Pillow's
" She takes you, She leaves you" softly walks through some sad acoustic tunes, in which
the dust from behind the corner can be breath.

Mr60/The Frozen Fracture 5 Pezzi Facili (2/5)
UMB#15 - CDr, 2006
The second split of the 5 Pezzi Facili series, features the contribution from Mr60 ,
and The Frozen Fracture . Mr .60's "Concepto:desperato" is a sort of metaphoric journey in which
the band explores the vast compositive possibility
given by ability of the members to put hands at several different instruments each. The Frozen Fracture contribution
"Rare Earths Noble Gases" is also a time-travel journey.
This rather random prit-stick glued bric-a-brac disaster which represents the ultimate experience of a projectal failure.

My Dear Killer/Tettu Mortu 5 Pezzi Facili (3/5)
UMB#16 - CDr, 2011
The third split of the 5 Pezzi Facili series, is a collaborative effort of My Dear Killer and Tettu Mortu
Cynical Quietness (My Dear Killer) a brief acoustic passage by the depth of incommunicability in which the usual mesh of drawn
and feedback are substituted by field recordings of the Scottish winter.
Bounce is a collection of short sketches in which Tettu Mortu reexplores the impro-noise improvisation of its previous works
(Christo EP, Fields Ep) in the first two episodes, leaving place to the field recordings dominated closing tracks.
Ten pieces to remember that the winter will be coming soon again.

Morose/Campofame 5 Pezzi Facili (4/5)
UMB#17 - CDr, 2012
The fourth split of the 5 Pezzi Facili series, features the contribution from Morose ,
and Campofame . This is the second Morose work with lyrics in Italian, and the first as a duo, which also features the collaboration
of members of Campofame. This is a stumbling walk through the dark corners of souls, accompanied by a inspired executions and arrangements.
Compafame continue on the a similar tortuous path in their very personal yet elegant combination of acoustic, electronics and digital sampling.

Empty Vessel Music/Konstanzegraff 5 Pezzi Facili (5/5)
UMB#18 - CDr, 2012
The fifth and conclusive split of the Cinque Pezzi Facili series, features the contribution of Empty Vessel Music and Konstazengraff .
" The slavery diaries " is a collection of intense acoustic portraits, from which emerges a very personal and modern take on what might appear,
at the surface, as a crystallised and canonical style. The companion split by Konstanzengraff, Vietrax is built by different elements - rhythm
often comes from synthesised lines flowing in parallel with the skeletal percussion, whilst melodic counterpoints form a faded and weatherbeaten
remittance. Request it from our archive

Kech Are You Safe?
UMB#19 - CD, 2003
"..at the end of the day, this is an intriguing and oblique indie-rock, leaded by the guitars and a dreaming
female voice, effective in sketching delightly non conventional melodies...[...].. In other words, even if
the band is moving a very well defined environment, it manages to do it with an enviable grace and a number
of unexpected solution, giving birth to songs that, in their freshness, are so easy to stick to your mind.."

Atlas Cedar The Bank Holyday EP
UMB#21 - CDr, 2003
The Bank Holyday is the first release by Atlas Cedar. The only superficial harmonic simplicity,
chiselled by painstaking guitar and mellow singing confers an understate tone to this song collection. A
rranged with simplicity and elegance, the Bank Holiday Session is a rather splendid collection of unpretentious
tunes, on the verge between introspective and minimalist song-writing. Also features a cover version of
Richard and Linda Thomson " A heart needs a home ".

My Shell The Baijkal EP
UMB#23 - CDr, 2003
UMB#23.mkII - CDr, 2017 [20 Copies]
The Baijkal EP is the first full release of My Shell for Under My Bed,
following a string of contributions to our compilations. Although this record can be litteraly
decribed as no-fi, having been recorded with a shoebox cassette recorded, it remains a brilliant piece of
intimistic song-writing. We have been absolutely enthusiastic of this record through the years.
Having been impatiently awaiting in vain, for a more complete and, just a little bit more polished, collection of songs from this
outstanding act, we have remastered the original demotapes, and reissued it in a limited edition of 25 copies in 2017.

Jeffrey Fields Graceland EP
UMB#24 - CDr, 2004
Having spent time in several rock and post-punk bands in the 90s, Jeffrey began writing and recording his own
songs in early 2003. Recording mostly at home on a limited budget, and even more limited equipment, Jeffrey
wears his influences on his sleeve while maintaining his own unique lyrical vision and melodic eccentricities.

ONQ Canzoni Tutte Uguali
UMB#25 - CDr, 2004
UMB#25.mkII - CDr, 2004
ONQ Desein Ohne Leben by Bluesanct/Orphanology in 2002. ONQ returned then at its original form, that is that of a one-man-act, playing, recording, mixing and
composing all the songs appearing on the record. The record apparenty sound less full with respect with previous release in which the band appeard
as four-pieces. Yet, it just highlights one of the many different angles of the project, as it enriched by many subtle details,
tasteful electronic arrangements and by sampling. It was the fist (and only) record by ONQ sung in Italian
and involving the collaboration with female singers. Canzoni tutte uguali came with a
two-colour ink hand-stamped artwork, pressed on recycled manila paper: Each copy was then unique. It happened to be the last full-length release by ONQ.
To date. The original editon was long gone, before being repressed in a very limited
number of copies (15 only!) in 2017. That's now gone too.

from the rubbish bin and trying to reinterprete songs of Giants Sand, Calexico,
Black Heart Procession, Scott 4 and Elliot Smith. Right: now you've got an idea of what's
Mistersixties. The record is co-released with
BSBTA Records in Copenhagen and Marsiglia
records of Genoa, Italy.

The Frozen Fracture Portraits of Wasted Youth in Distortion
UMB#27.mkII - CDr 2014
Portraits of Wasted Youth in Distortion is the first release by The Frozen Fracture in over a decade. It is a collection of
four semi-improvisation portraits, directly taped using low-edge analogical equipment. The core of this project is the use of low-power solid
state amplifiers driven on and above the saturation level by cloned and modified distortion
units and line splitters so to obtain, in parallel and simultaneously, different saturation ranges. The result are four pieces catching different
shades of introspectiveness,
melancholy, and more robust hues of inadequacy. The graphic design and its pressing are by Cosimo Rosa (Luigi VonTurin).

The Dutch Courage Selected Wreckages
UMB#28 - CDr, 2009
The Dutch Courage is a noise semi-improvisational duo. Their sounds is a rather basic stratification of crystalline
and dilated guitar riffs on a magmatic landscape of oversaturated keyboard, filtered through curiously self-assembled stomp boxes.
These tracks were recorded between 1998 and 1999, hence, mixing quite pioneering approaches with, at tract rather naΠΏve,
but generally very intriguing excursions toward extreme circuit-bending. The EP features a unique packaging, containing a mini-poster
and a little novel associated with each episode. Limited edition of 20 Copies.

------- Collezionando Vuoti a Perdere
UMB#31 - CDr 2013
Collezionando vuoti a perdere is a little collection of songs, in Italian, inteded to be
a one-release project and, if you like, a shot to nothing. The record is the picture of warm and
solitary summer nights spent is a city deserterted by human being, sketched by acoustic guitars,
soft vocals, improvvised percussions and reverberation. Recorded in a living room, with a couple of
microphones in what can be defined as nothing
but DIY style, it perfectly suits the purpose, of the record, and of Under My Bed. Comes in a heavy
