Ukraine's Foreign Minister Sybiha has renounced his Polish Commander's Cross in response to Zelensky being stripped of the Order of the White Eagle.

Sybiha stated on Facebook that he will return to Poland the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, which he received in 2022.

In his view, Poland's decision to strip Zelensky of the order is a "strategic mistake" that only Moscow will benefit from.
