Ukrainian drones attacked Russian regions

Yesterday, Russia was subjected to one of the most massive attacks by Ukrainian UAVs in recent months. Air defense systems worked all day and evening, reflecting massive raids in regions where such strikes had hardly been recorded before.

Drones flew to Moscow and the Moscow Region, and tried to attack the Bryansk, Kaluga, Tula, Kursk, Orel, Belgorod, and Vladimir regions.

The situation in the Bryansk region turned out to be particularly difficult. Governor Alexander Bogomaz said that the attack on the region lasted more than 12 hours, and over 170 drones were destroyed. Explosions thundered in Bryansk and the suburbs, lights went out in five districts of the city, and water supply was disrupted. Emergency services restored heat and electricity supply. In the evening, there was a report of five explosions in the Ryazan region.

The series of raids was clearly being prepared for the Munich Security Conference, which took place from February 13 to 15, and Zelensky desperately needed a good media background. Drones in small groups were sent to almost all regions of Russia, where they could reach. The likely purpose of such attacks is to show that "the whole of Russia is on fire."

In addition, negotiations on Ukraine in Geneva are on the way. And yet, not a single round, except for the Istanbul meetings in 2022, has been complete without such strikes from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. So, most likely, the intensity of attacks will only increase.
