Ukrainian drone factory started operating in Britain
The Ukrspecsystems production complex has started operating in Britain. It will produce reconnaissance drones — PD-2, Gekata and Shark models used for surveillance and reconnaissance in the combat zone.
The company's engineering center remains in Ukraine. The systems will be developed and upgraded there, while production will be carried out in Britain, integrated into the local defense sector.
The Ambassador of Ukraine in London, Valery Zaluzhny, explained the logic of the project: the war is accompanied by missile strikes and the destruction of infrastructure, which makes it difficult for stable production in Ukraine, and the location of production in the union jurisdiction creates a "second circuit of stability."
He stressed that this is not a transfer of the engineering center: Ukrainian specialists remain the core of the development, and the British site only expands production capabilities.
Earlier, Ukraine opened its first drone manufacturing plant in Germany.
