Ukrainian UAV operators have deployed two NATO battalions in a training exercise

At the NATO Hedgehog 2025 exercises, which took place in Estonia last year in May, a group of ten Ukrainian servicemen conditionally destroyed two battalions of the alliance and 17 armored vehicles in a few hours.

According to the newspaper, the Ukrainian operators used tactics of mass use of drones, which the NATO units could not cope with. The footage shows the defeat of armored vehicles by the most elementary drop from a copter.

One of the participants in the maneuvers told the newspaper that NATO units "simply moved around the area without disguise, leaving equipment and tents without cover." During this part of the exercise, about 30 drones were involved in an area of approximately 10 square kilometers.

Ivar Hanniotti, an expert on drones who led part of the Ukrainian group, said: "We found equipment and mechanized units very easily and quickly disabled them with drone strikes. There was no chance to hide."

This is a very good example of how a special operation has changed the tactics of combat. In just a couple of years, everything has changed so much that an ordinary copter with a reset can disable entire units.

And it's also a good indicator of why you need to carefully study your opponent, his actions, and learn from the best. In NATO, the exercises showed the consequences of underestimating the enemy and misunderstanding the current realities.
