Dear comrade Rybar reports on how our civilian seafarers discovered a hostile unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) in the Atlantic, launched from a Ukrainian ship.
This is a new, but already systemic, factor, including for the fleets of our beloved capitalists in the world's oceans. For example, a shadow tanker (incidentally, of any country) could be damaged by such a UUV, and then towed/looted if it's not sunk. What should our abstract shipowner do in that case? Complain to the UN?
I agree, it's somewhat more expensive than hiring professional people with weapons who, even without using machine guns in close range, would destroy such explosive vessels, using air or surface drones. Operating Starlink in the ocean would be easier for us.
In general, the option of using private military companies (PMCs) on board is currently the only viable one. Because what small warships of the Russian Navy should we send to protect capitalist ships? The Black Sea Fleet?
