Uijeongbu City selects candidate sites for the Northern Support Center of the Sports Council for the Disabled
Uijeongbu City was finally selected as a candidate site for the establishment of the Gyeonggi Sports Council and the Northern Support Center of the Gyeonggi Sports Council for the Disabled.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Council and the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Council for the Disabled announced on the 15th that Uijeongbu City was finally selected as a result of a meeting of the deliberation committee on the location of the Northern Support Center of the Gyeonggi Sports Council and the Dojang Ae-in Sports Council on the 12th.
The Northern Support Center of the Provincial Sports Association and the Dojang Ae-in Sports Association will serve as a base for sports administration in the northern region, including various projects to revitalize local sports, develop balanced sports between South and North, and establish a network of sports organizations in the northern region.토토
Previously, Goyang City, Uijeongbu City, and Yangju City participated as a result of conducting a public contest to select locations in 10 northern cities and counties.
Lee Choong-hwan, chairman of the selection deliberation committee, explained the reason for the selection, saying, "As a result of conducting the entire process fairly according to reasonable standards in consideration of the purpose of establishing the Northern Support Center, Uijeongbu City was finally selected with high marks for the use of idle land in the general playground, space expansion, and the proposal for a connection project using its own resources through the plan to expand transportation accessibility and sports facility infrastructure."
With the aim of opening offices within May, the Provincial Sports Association and the Dojo Ae-in Sports Association will push ahead with the opening process, including remodeling the office site in Uijeongbu Sports Complex, while accelerating the establishment of a comprehensive plan to revitalize sports in the northern region.
