I have seen some transsexuals, but none of them look like their original gender or the gender that they want to be. Why is that? Many people have cosmetic surgery (breast implants, Botox, etc.), so why can't transsexuals do that?

I'm not gonna jump your case like some of the others. Trans folks go through varying stages, with initiation of hormones, surgery, etc. What you might not realize is that transitioning can be very expensive because people DO have surgery and so on. Unfortunately, most of it is not covered by insurance. Believe me when I say that a trans person wants to look as good as they possibly can.
Trans people, like any others, will range in their looks. Don't you look around and think "dang, there are just a lot of ugly people" sometimes? Well, it's the same w/trans folks. Thinking of people and behaviors and life on a continuum will help you figure many things out along the way. Sometimes, people just look strange.
Transsexual people aren't ugly. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, even transsexual people. I'm sure you're just a child who's insecure about themself and needs to bully on people they don't even know to feel better about themselves.

The ignorance evident in this question is quite obviously predicated on the faulty notion that since the transwomen you've met do not satisfy your aesthetic expectations of femininity, we must all be ugly.
Let's be honest here. There are many women in the world that have not been abundantly blessed with physical beauty, and the vast majority of these ladies are not transgendered.
Regarding the question of why transsexual women don't have cosmetic surgery, consider that many transpeople are underemployed due to discrimination. I suggest most cannot afford the cost of additional surgery.
Are you serious?!?! How could anyone possibly consider this? Always choose life! This would be the equivilent of saying "live as a short basketball player or chance reincarnation so my dreams of playing in the NBA can come true by being born again into a taller body" That is absolutely ridiculous. Live your life and be happy. Make your decisions based on what is best for you and your well being and everything will work out. :)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you probably know less than a dozen Transsexual people in real life. I'm also going to assume you probably haven't seen more than 100 Transsexual people PERIOD.
There are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Transsexual people in this world, the vast majority of whom you would never guess were born Transsexual because they LOOK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. Guess what, many Transsexual people have cosmetic surgery, breast implants, Botox, etc, but they don't wear a sign that says, "Bet you'd never guess I was born Transsexual."
Your impression of Transsexual people is based on IGNORANCE (sorry if that seems a bit blunt, but I couldn't find a simpler way to say it.)
Most transsexual women I know are perfectly attractive and are nice people ....
I have only known one, and he (who was a she) is one of the best looking males. Admittedly, he is quiet small and has feminine features. Maybe, you don't see/notice many of the ones that do blend in.
