I would recommend this product. It is a really useful product. Thanks to the seller, he sent the product in very good condition.

I can't stress enough how great these access points—and the Unifi ecosystem as a whole—are. I first used them when working on the IT staff at my college as we began to replace Linksys WRT54G and D-Link WR-1043N units that were running OpenWRT and DD-WRT with these. The setup process was simple, scaling was a piece of cake, and they are constantly working to update their firmware and software. Now, as I'm working for a church full-time, the decision to go with Unifi for all of our networking needs was not in any way a difficult one. I started with a

Ubiquiti UniFi Switch - 48 Ports Managed (US-48-500W)

 and a three-pack of

Ubiquiti Networks UniFi AC Enterprise WiFi System - UAP-AC

then finally added this five-pack to finish it off. If you have a small business, large house, or any other situation where you need solid WiFi coverage for the lowest price, this is no question the way to go. I HIGHLY recommend!

Very nice product, both in installation and usability. Upgraded an office/warehouse/hangar space from a bunch of apple airport express/extemes to 5 of these plus the Ubiquiti Unifi Cloud key controller (had to buy direct from Ubiquiti as not in stock on amazon right now) , plugged into an 8 port trendnet PoE+ switch

TRENDnet 8-Port Gigabit GREENnet PoE+ Switch, TPE-TG80g

. Work right out of the box with an immediate improvement of signal strength to ipad air (802.11ac) and dell laptops (also 802.11ac) speeds. Strong connection to LAN (300+) and could now max out our 100Mbps internet connection on the ipads when updating app databases. One small quirk where one of the AP's went into isolated and disconnected mode, but a quick 'chat' from within the controller web interface and they told me to uncheck one item from the settings that was trying to wirelessly link the AP despite them being plugged into the LAN. Sounds like a bug, but after that everything was fine.

Note that these multi-packs DO NOT come with the POE Injectors (or power supplies) - as the older ones used to. If you buy the multi-pack, you will either have to hook the AP's up to a 48V POE injected switch or buy the injectors separately. I just bought 5 of these to go with my Multi-pack: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NRF9GQO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 I purchased these AP's to try and see if the new "PRO" design is any more reliable than the old square AC's. I have had several of the older AC design overheat and fail. The old design is known to run very hot. These new "PRO" models are supposed to draw less power and run cooler. I guess we'll see about that... Most of the specs in the new "UAP AC PRO" design are basically the same as the older design. Other than being round, I did note that the new round units provide 5G Band Steering, where the older square units did not...

I have searched all over for the best home/small business wifi system, and Ubiquiti's Unifi AP-AC Pro is hands down the best no-licensed, easy to use enterprise quality wifi on the market today. I work in the IT field and have dealt with multiple enterprise level wifi systems that are great, but are expensive and require licensing for each access point. A colleague at work recommended that I look into a Ubiquiti system, and I am glad that I did. The UniFi controller that controls the AP-AC Pro is easy to use and set up, making the deployment of this system stress free. If you are looking for an enterprise quality wifi system without paying the enterprise pricing, then look no further than the Ubiquiti wifi system.

I purchased this item, but didn't install it until this past weekend. The plastic bracket that connects the AP to the wall broke during installation, so now my AP is just dangling on the wall. Try and find this part on ebay? Yeah right! Here on AMazon? Wow, seriously nowhere? Try to connect with the seller through my order history? Not even an option. I love these access points. This is the first installation in 6 years that I've had any problem. I'm very happy with the product, the performance and the management of Ubiquiti hardware. This inability to track down a simple plastic part is just a bit irritating.

Best WAP for home user and enterprise use. One of these can cover a 2500sqft home installed on the top floor. Using a controller you can program it once and connect as many as you want on the same network and bata bing, bata boom! All your WAPs are configured the same SSID's and pwds. You can deploy this with ease, installing the controller on your MAC or Windows, or purchase a Ubiquiti Cloudkey that runs linux and that will be your controller. It's so simple and way less expensive than other enterprise grade WAPs, and the programming is simple and easy to use.

Good AP's with some nice features that I, personally, probably will never use like dual LAN connections. It wasn't clear in the product description that this model DOES NOT function with the 24v Passive PoE that the other Ubiquiti AP's use. I tried to use these in a small deployment with a ToughSwitch-5 and they wouldn't power on. Had to purchase a different switch that supplies the correct power. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with these, in hindsight I would have been better off saving $300 with the lite version:

I would recommend this product. It is a really useful product. Thanks to the seller, he sent the product in very good condition.

Reading the product description, it wasn't obvious how this works alongside an existing Linksys AC3200 WiFi router (I don't have time to read the manual first) so I went ahead and bought it to take it for a spin. Turns out the setup is very simple: 1. Download and install the Ubiquiti software 2. Assign a system password 3. Assign the WiFi SSID name and password And that's it! The Ubiquiti device fetches a dynamic IP for itself plus IPs for the client devices from the existing WiFi base router DHCP. Within 5 minutes of launching the software, I was able to upload a JPG image of my house layout for the cool network map feature, and upgrade the latest firmware with a simple click. The admin software has a really nice design. I ran a quick throughput test: I get 39 Mbps via the AC3200 router, and 26 Mbps via the Ubiquiti Outdoor+ which is decent considering that the 802.11ac standard is theoretically much faster than the 802.11n standard. The Outdoor+ is the best model if you have an 802.3af PoE switch (whereas the Outdoor 5G does not support 802.3af so you'd be stuck with a silly plug-in injector on that model). I highly recommend this if you have a large outdoor space to cover -- you don't have to mess with tearing apart your existing WiFi network, this just adds to it.

Worked perfect out of the box, covers my 2.5 acres perfectly. I used to have 3 different wireless networks, one for the house, another for a detached shop, and a third for a detached office. I placed this on an outbuilding central on the property and was able to remove all of the other wifi and simplify things greatly. I chose this system because I wanted the ability to easily add APs that were smart enough to encourage our Apple devices to properly hand off to the AP with a stronger signal. (This is a fairly common problem with iPad and iPhone in particular, but I have a few android devices as well with the sticky issue). As it turns out, one AP did the trick so I don't even have to worry about that now. Very satisfied with this purchase. Setup was a piece of cake.

This is my 3rd wireless AP from Ubiquiti. My other two are indoor APs that have been extremely reliable over the last year i've owned them and decided to extend my coverage to outdoors and it works very well. I'm in a wooded area and my car's android tablet connects to my wireless hundreds of feet away from the house well before I even turn the last corner onto my home street. It accomplished exactly what I wanted. Now I can start synchronizing my car's trip data before I park so I don't have to wait around after parking (for the indoor wireless to connect, took about 2-3mins after parking, before.)

Performance is very good. I love that it is controlled by a controller! It is not strictly required, but it is one of the really nice features of the UniFi line. I have this mounted up on a roof-top mast in the wind. Therefore I slipped on a 1/4" ring terminal over each antenna stud to connect to ground. The instructions make no mention of the need to do this, but they should. I suppose if it mounted low like on the side of a building, you could probably get by installing it as it comes in the box.

I'm not a fan of Ubiquiti's UniFi controller. My deployments are usually individual LANs over DSL though with no real networking between products, so it doesn't make sense to have these APs instead of the Rockets. This isn't the fault of the product though, they just weren't right for my application. We added Omni antennae to each AP anyway, so a Rocket M2 was, in hindsight, the better choice.

Works pretty well for outdoor Wireless N 2.4 Ghz WiFi coverage, but the signal range is not quite a strong as advertised by the manufacturer. I get a 3/5 bar WiFi signal in an outbuilding about 300 feet away. I wish that the outdoor Wireless AC version of this product was not so expensive ($400) as I would have opted for that instead.

This is a phenomenal product. From the attic over our sanctuary, I can cover almost the entire building. I spent a little more to get this AP so that I could mount it out of view in the attic. I'd definitely say that it was worth the extra money. The controller is strange in that it's a piece of software (java application) that runs on any computer. It works well though. I setup this AP with 4 SSIDs using 3 different VLANS on a trunk port from my switch. It works great.
