We’re looking for a sharp, inventive UX/UI Designer to join our core team and help craft the visual and emotional layer of GENZA — a multiplayer dating game for Gen Z. If you love creating interfaces that feel like stories, not screens — you’re one of us.

GENZA is “dating as a game”: a multiplayer SIMS-like experience with avatars, rooms, AI pets, and social discovery mechanics.

Think match-3 meets matchmaking.

We believe Gen Z deserves more than swipes and ghosting.

We’re building a meaningful alternative where connection is playful, emotionally intelligent, and immersive.

Our MVP is in active development. You’ll help shape what users see, feel, and remember.


Responsibilities

  • Design playful, intuitive interfaces for dating and social gameplay features
  • Create 2D game graphics for UI elements and in-game content, ensuring visual consistency with the overall aesthetic and experience
  • Build UX flows and screen maps for the core experience: matching, rooms, AI pet, inventory, quests (ASK), rewards
  • Prototype and test onboarding, progression, reward mechanics, and user motivation loops
  • Translate narrative and emotional intent into UI elements, animations, and microinteractions
  • Collaborate with developers, narrative leads, and the marketing team
  • Iterate quickly based on data and user feedback

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product or game interface design
  • Proficiency in creating 2D game art assets and interfaces
  • Strong portfolio with mobile-first UX/UI work (apps, games, gamification)
  • Fluency in Figma (components, prototypes, design systems)
  • Solid understanding of game UX: onboarding, levels, progression, retention
  • Sense of visual storytelling and emotional design
  • Comfort working in rapid iteration cycles and async environments

  • Figma
  • Digital illustration tools for creating 2D game graphics (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Notion
  • Linear/Jira
  • Slack, Miro, Telegram
  • Prototyping tools (e.g., Principle, Protopie, Framer — optional)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with avatar-based or narrative games
  • Worked on dating or social apps before
  • Basic animation/motion design skills (or use of AI tools to assist)
  • Passion for Gen Z culture, aesthetics, and digital identity
  • Familiarity with AI-generated content (Midjourney, Runway, etc.)

Location & Setup

  • Remote-first team, async-friendly
  • Core team operates in UTC+0 to UTC+4
  • English-speaking environment (basic spoken English required)
