Jul. 31—Boulder police said two people caused more than $100,000 in damage after breaking into a dance studio. According to police, at 10:26 p.m. Friday, two people broke into Kinesis Dance Studio at 635 S. Broadway and committed numerous acts of vandalism. Police said the two people spray painted nearly every surface inside, shattered large mirrors and damaged furniture, possibly with a knife.There were no identifiable words, numbers or images in the spray paint, according to a release. The suspects are seen in the video footage wearing hooded sweatshirts, and one is wearing a backpack. One suspect is wearing what appear to be Nike Dunk Lows and the other is wearing what appear to be Nike Air Max 97s, according to police. The business has reportedly had negative encounters with a group of teenage boys who skateboard outside of the studio. Police said the incidents ranged from conversations to the teens peeking into windows and coming inside. The Boulder Police Department is asking anyone with any information about this crime to call Detective A. Burcher at 303-413-7826 and reference case No. 23-07251.
