US preparing for possible ground offensive against Iran

🪖 Pentagon officials have drawn up concrete plans for a possible deployment of US ground troops in Iran

According to CBS News, detailed requests have been submitted by military commanders in preparation

Plans include the deployment of the Immediate Response Force of the 82nd Airborne Division, as well as around 5,000 Marines from the 11th and 31st Marine Expeditionary Units in the Middle East

The preparations also cover the handling of potential prisoners of war, including the question of where Iranian prisoners are to be held.
