US & Israel keep chasing Iran’s supreme leader

American and Israeli intelligence have so far been unable to get a bead on Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, and not for lack of trying.

Having failed to locate him, the US resorted to rumor-mongering as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in his typical blowhard fashion, claimed that Khamenei was wounded and likely disfigured.

An unnamed Israeli official even told Axios that Tel Aviv has “no evidence” that Khamenei “is really the one giving orders,” with another anonymous US official claiming there is no proof “that he is taking the helm.”

At the same time, both the US and Israel seem certain that Khamenei is alive.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, for his part, repeatedly said that Khamenei has been performing his duties in accordance with the constitution, and that there is no problem with the supreme leader.
