Although migrants are already required to provide a biometric-based code, Starmer, using the excuse of illegal immigration, wants to make the use of digital identity mandatory for hiring by 2029.
1) THE GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE A WALLET WITH BIOMETRIC DATA
A press release from the British government announces a new plan based on digital identity aimed at combating illegal immigration. It states that mandatory digital identity should act as a deterrent to prevent illegal immigration: since they cannot get a job without a digital identity, the invader should desist from invading. The work requirement will apply to anyone seeking a new job, in fact, employers will be forced to verify the prospective employee's "right to work." Currently, this can be proven through a passport or birth certificate, which certifies British citizenship. For those who do not hold citizenship, the British government already provides for the use of a code based on a biometric residence permit or a biometric residence card. The press release mentions the optional use of digital identity for all public welfare services and to obtain a driving license, believing that mandatory use in the workplace will also encourage it in the service sector. The digital wallet that is the ultimate goal of this entire initiative is called the gov.uk wallet, and its use will be similar to the Italian or European wallett. The British population is opposing to digital identity: more than 2 million citizens have signed an official petition to not introduce digital identity. The minimum number of signatures required for the petition to be discussed in Parliament is 100,000, and this figure has already been reached.
2) THE LIE OF THE MIGRANT LOOKING FOR A JOB
The problem of the invasion in England is real, and it has already sparked numerous riots and demonstrations by the English population, fed up with the invaders' abuses. What is false is the deterrent rhetoric used by Starmer, who believes that introducing mandatory digital identity can somehow stop illegal immigration. Not only because it is currently mandatory for non-British citizens to have a biometric code or to show appropriate documents, but above all because illegal immigrants think of everything except working in the country they are invading. In just three years, from 2021 to 2023, there were more than 100,000 arrests involving foreigners in England and Wales out of a total of 872,488 arrests. Not only violent crimes and sexual abuse, but also crimes linked to the world of gang crime: in 2023, the theft rate committed by foreigners was 33% higher than that of the British, and the rate of drug-related crimes was even higher: 69% higher among foreigners than among the British. Migrant smuggling is a process that encompasses the entire process, from smuggling illegal immigrants into the country, even with false documents, to their integration into the criminal world, where they will then find work in prostitution, drug trafficking, smuggling, and theft rings. Grooming gangs are a predominantly Muslim phenomenon, where young girls are lured into organized crime using drugs. Another problem is that of Albanian gangs, involved in the arms and drug trade—genuine mafias (1, 2, 3, 4).
CONCLUSIONS
On the one hand, the system incentivizes invasion, while on the other, it pretends to fight it with useless methods that burden citizens, compromising their fundamental freedoms. Immigration is used to militarize the streets, spread surveillance, and digital control.
