Payouts only include subs, bits, and ad revenue.
A breach of Twitch’s data exposed information regarding payouts for streamers over the course of the past 26 months, and as you might expect, some of the platform’s top streamers have made millions.
The Twitch payout leaks only include money from subscriptions, bit donations, and advertisement revenue. The figures do not include any personal sponsorships or direct donations a streamer might have had over that period of time.
The payouts also do not include any money they may have received from Twitch directly for signing a contract to stream exclusively on the platform.
Payouts listed are for August 2019 through October 2021, and among the top streamers are a slew of usual suspects, including xQc, Summit1g, and Tfue.
Because websites like Twitch Tracker keep tabs on the number of subscribers the platform’s top streamers have, many viewers have a general idea of how much streamers make in that regard.
Perhaps the biggest information to gather from the leaks is that individuals who are privy to how much streamers might get in ad revenue and bit donations might be able to then use some math and deductive reasoning to figure out how much money they make per subscription.
The default payout for a subscription is 50 percent of $5 ($2.50), but top partnered streamers get a larger percentage than that—one that is negotiated with the platform.
While streamers are not allowed to disclose that information, one of Twitch’s more popular streamers Ludwig suggested that streamers could use the information from the recent leaks to fight for a larger portion of subscription money.
The idea is that if there are people with fewer subscribers who are making more money, they likely have a higher payout per subscriber.

It's worth reiterating that these totals represent just a fraction of what streamers earn. This includes twitch subs, prime subs, twitch ads and twitch bit donations. But does not include TTS donations, 3rd party revenues like merch, youtube revenue, and sponsorships are all unaccounted for here.
Ah, I no longer feel bad about not subscribing to any Twitch channel
Donate to smaller & new streamers. The $5 means the world when you only have 20 subscribers.
Xqc made 750K+ in September and yet people still throw huge donations at him, boggles my mind.
Do it to the small channels. They need it the most :)
never subbed never donated adblock on stolen laptop neighbours wifi mommas house stolen solar panels stolen sun solar energy stolen water wheel neighbours river stolen hydroelectric plant charging phone with work electricity shower in bathroom sink stolen food from cafeteria stolen hamster stolen hamster wheel kinetic energy free entertainment
Really? These numbers are over 2 years, so I find these numbers actually kind of low. Everyone except the top 1% (Hikaru / chessbrah / botez, etc) made pretty much normal salary (50-75k per year).
well if in 2 years one get 30k, is something but is not necessarily a lot. The most prominent channels maybe are fine (one does not know whether they pay other people for the production) but it doesn't mean that the rest needs to be ignored.
If everyone thought like that, they would make no money. I don’t personally subscribe to twitch channels because I only watch them once in a blue moon, but there’s nothing wrong with supporting your favorite creator.
these are the literal darling channels on Twitch with the subs, why not dig a little deeper and find some good content with fewer viewers and support them?
Why? Because some of them made good money you feel good about not supporting them while freely consuming their content?
Any? This is a two year period. It's also gross earnings. You think Lefong or Anna living off that number, minus the Twitch take, minus taxes, cut in half?
Yeah, best just to get things for free.
more than that since they this doesn't count donations, sponsorships etc crazy crazy

TWITCH has been hacked and a list which claims to reveal the top earners on the streaming platform is now circulating online.
The list claims to show the gross payouts of the top highest-paid Twitch creators from August 2019 until October 2021.
There's also another 'leaked' list which claims to state September 2021 earnings of some of the top stars.
Popular names on the list include Shroud, Amouranth and Pokimane.
Reports suggest over 10,000 streamers’ earnings could have been revealed in the hack.
Streamer CriticalRole tops the August 2019 until October 2021 list by reportedly earning around $9.6million (£7million) in this time.
Streamer xQcOW comes in second on that list with $8,454,427.17.
Amouranth, who has famously been banned from the platform in the past for breaking rules on “sexually suggestive”, is said to have earned $1,363,346.32 in this time period.
That put her at number 48 on the supposedly leaked list on which CriticalRole is number one.
However, she's much higher up the suspected September 2021 payout list.
That claims she earned $92,949 in that month.
Streamer xQcOW was said to be the 'top earner' in September with claims they made $752,467.
Pokimane, another popular female streamer, is said to have made $1,528,303.11 between August 2019 and October 2021.
That pales in comparison to Shroud, who the list claims made $96,359 in September this year and a staggering $2,040,503.15.
Twitch has not commented on this list or whether or not earning reports have definitely been stolen during the data breach.
It explains on its blog : "We have learned that some data was exposed to the internet due to an error in a Twitch server configuration change that was subsequently accessed by a malicious third party. Our teams are working with urgency to investigate the incident.
"As the investigation is ongoing, we are still in the process of understanding the impact in detail.
"We understand that this situation raises concerns, and we want to address some of those here while our investigation continues.
"At this time, we have no indication that login credentials have been exposed. We are continuing to investigate."
