When small time thug, Frank Gastino, is tired of the small rewards he gets from robbing convenience stores he convinces his two best friends to help him acquire more money. The three of them grew up on the streets of New York City, and have been friends since childhood. The streets, a woman, and their choice of a new recruit prove to be detrimental to the three of them. Chad’s live in girlfriend is Lucy, and he has been abusive to her throughout their relationship. Lucy decides a change is in her best interest. Frank, Chad, Tony, and Lucy get together quite frequently to play cards or dominoes, and they like to drink beer. While at a favorite hangout Tony sees Jerome, an old work buddy, and introduces Jerome to the gang. Tony realized he had become attracted to Lucy, and he could tell the feeling was mutual. The two began a secret love affair that would prove to be deadly.Homicide detectives C.O. and Tina are pursuing what is looking like a serial killer. Jim is a detective assigned to the bank robberies, but because the gang was getting more ruthless with each robbery, Tina and C.O. are also assigned to the case. The three detectives are now handling two separate volatile cases that would lead them into a twisted chain of events.
The author was right! There were twists and turns that I NEVER expected! I highly recommend this to suspense lovers.

Hey guys, it's been a long ride and I've spent a great deal of time with this one! If you have the means, are able to support me and most importantly, if you enjoy what you see then please consider sharing the link around to people who might be interested. With that being said, you can grab a copy of the comic here: optionaltypo.blogspot.com/p/tw… I plan to continue making comics in the future and becoming more skilled along the way; TI2 was a great lesson to me and many challenges were overcome, and many more were documented. Working solo is an inherent challenge by itself, but mixed together with flu season, arm pain, and long hours of isolation only adds to that; art-wise, my ability to layout the scenes has definitely been a mixed bag of successes and failures, particularly when making the decision to either include perspective, or to focus on action rather than what is technically proper. Other things I look for are whether or not panels are too similar; several revisions were made just on that qualifier alone, and most weren't any better than the first! Identifying what is 'off' either ink-wise, color-wise, or perhaps something more subtle (consistency of the /amount/ of details, for example) requires a switching of mindset from create mode into analyze mode, one that is quite painful to do when you realize that things aren't what they're supposed to be! I'm not professional trained, nor am I the best artist out there, but this is a process that I'm most definitely becoming better at. Recently, I've experienced a family loss that is taking time to recover from, so unfortunately my art projects will be pushed back for a while.

If you had a tough work week, I've got some good news for you. It's Friday, and the weekend couldn't come any sooner. But as always, time goes slow when you're waiting for something. Here's an unscientific fact: reading comics makes time fly faster. You might suspect what I'm getting at—how about you read some comics? And not just some random comics, but the very best by Tony Esp, who's a master of making any comic strip as unexpected, twisted, and dark as the Spanish Inquisition (forgive my old Monty Python reference there).

In a previous post, Tony gave us a special interview, and I think it's best if the author speaks for the work himself.
Here's how he began: "I started drawing comics around Oct 2016. I wanted to create a YouTube channel back then, but I realized I didn't have the drawing skills for what I wanted to create, so I had to put it on hiatus. I remember reading a comic called Rosiana Rabbit by Alex Dempsey and thought that comics were an easy way to improve my art. So I started drawing comics."
Memory works the best when You try to sleep and need to wake up in like 4 hours :P
His creativity relies on his mind flow rather than a rigid method, and he gets his inspiration wherever he can get it. "I don't exactly sit down in my chair and try to write something funny. Most of the jokes came while I was in the shower, and on rare occasions, I base them on my life."

Tony has shown quite a bit of self-awareness, and he was pretty modest in explaining why his comics stand out from the crowd. "I don't have a specific art style for my comics, so definitely my weird comedy."
Though he loves his kind of humor, he understands that it's not everyone's cup of tea. "Dark humor is not for everyone, but I like to believe that nothing is off the table when it comes to comedy. Of course, I have my standards and preferences, so even I have my limits."
That took a dark unromantic turn...
If you want to know what kind of feedback comic artists receive from their readers, Tony has given some feedback about the feedback he receives. "Some love, some hate them, and others are just indifferent... but I always loved hearing my readers' opinions of my comics, especially if it's criticism. It helps me improve in one way or another and if I'm in a good mood, I'll even take the occasional 'f*** you!'"

Tony Esp is a strong advocate of the "death of an author" concept. He conceals his subjectivity in his work, and the narratives are very direct, clear, and have only one intent: to make people laugh. Everything else depends solely on the reader, and he's fine with that.
