A forgotten pal from summer camp turns up as WJM's new receptionist and wants to be Mary's best friend again.
Mary doesn't initially recognize her, but Twinks McFarland, WJM's new receptionist, is someone who Mary went to summer camp with twenty years ago. Twinks is a warm and friendly person, overly so. Twinks wants to be everyone's best friend, which begins to annoy everyone, especially friend phobic Lou, but she wants to be Mary's best friend more so than anyone. Mary, who was initially happy to get reacquainted with Twinks, now wants to shut her out of her life. But on what may be the most important day in her life, Twinks guilts not only Mary but all of Mary's friends into being her friends. When things change in Twinks' life, Mary has to decide if she will act out of character and truly express what she feels about being Twinks' friend.—Huggo

When the WJM staff receives Twinks's mimeographed wedding invitation, immediately after Mary says "Twinks Tvedt," Murray claps vigorously, once, but no sound is heard.

A new receptionist at the station turns out to be someone that Mary went to camp with 18 years previously. Mary barely remembers her. Her whole life has revolved around her experiences at that camp. She is also incredibly insensitive and tiresome. She wraps Mary around her finger and alienates everyone she meets. Somehow, people can't say no to her. Mary ends up being asked to be her maid of honor in her wedding. The whole thing with the brides maids dresses is hilarious. Rhoda is at her very best in this one although she gets taken for a ride as well. Lou is particularly good as "Twinks" even gets him to participate in her madness. Not the best episode, but this actress is quite good and makes herself unquestionably one of the most obnoxious people we've ever seen.
