Because I’m a hard-hitting investigative journalist in the time of COVID, I pursue all leads on my way to a good story. So when I got an anonymous email from someone with murky motives offering a supposed lead, I was skeptical. Then I saw it took me to a video with dirty dancing twinks and I decided this could be my Pulitzer.
The link I got was to the YouTube page of an L.A.-based blogger named Matthew Lush who, apparently, is trolling for an online boyfriend. Lush is a kinda cute otter himself in the “yaaasss, kweeeennn!” mold, so I took a look.
The deal is, Lush sets challenges for contestants to partake in by sending videos of themselves doing the task, then others vote on their favorite; the lowest one gets eliminated. (It just launched about a week ago, it seems.)
The reason why my confidential source suggested I look into it was because a local man named Sergio (lives in Denton) is in the mix. The informant thought there might be a local angle.
But I gotta tell ya: I don’t roll that way. I’m not gonna just be a cheerleader for the North Texan. (Also I tend to like meatier guys.)
This week, Lush and his non-socially-distanced buddy totally Randy-and-Paula the shit out of the videos, with the theme of “dancing in your undies.” It takes about a half-hour to watch a bunch of twinkie young guys shake and grind in cravenly thirsty tease videos. Yes, it has come to this. Still, there are worse ways to spend 30 minutes in quarantine.
OK, check out the video below. I will now go back to my fearless pursuit of the truth.
Somebody pluck out my eyes and ears now. Slow news day I guess.

A body-building male model is among three alleged senior Finks bikies accused of extorting an innocent shopkeeper in Sydney’s north-west.
Eamon Mulgrew, 25, was arrested in Chatswood on Wednesday along with Brent Mccaffery, 26, in North Richmond and Mitchell McPhail, 29, in North St Marys for the alleged intimidation of the 45-year-old.

Police allege earlier this year a bikie from Riverstone was loaned $11,500 by the local pawnbroker in exchange for jewellery, a motorcycle and boat.
On April 28, it is alleged three Finks bikies went to the lawful pawnbroking business in Riverstone and demanded the shopkeeper give them the items, but he refused.
The men allegedly visited the business on multiple occasions and threatened the shopkeeper, demanding the jewellery be handed over.
The matter was reported to police and, following an investigation, the NSW Police anti-gangs raptor squad raided seven homes in Chatswood, North Richmond, North St Marys, Tregear, Bidwell and Raymond Terrace, north of Newcastle, from 6am on Wednesday.

During the searches, officers seized knuckledusters, 19 explosives, two firearms, a motorcycle engine, electronic devices, outlaw motorcycle gang clothing, as well as a small amount of cannabis and steroids, police said.
Police allege the bikies had sought to extort the shopkeeper because the former Finks member who pawned the items owed the club money.
The man had recently left or been removed from the gang and been ordered to pay the exit fee often demanded of bikies who want to move on from their club, police allege.
“It’s probably a timely reminder for the people who think that becoming members of an outlaw motorcycle gang is a good life,” Raptor squad commander, Detective Superintendent Jason Weinstein, said on Thursday.
Mr Mulgrew, allegedly the president of the local Finks chapter, is an avid body-builder and boasts an extensive modelling portfolio. He was a national finalist in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Manhunt Australia male modelling competitions, according to his social media accounts.
On his online modelling profile, inactive since 2019, he described himself as an experienced model who feels “very strongly about personal appearance” and is open to a variety of photo shoots, including “implied nudes up to the stunning brands of fashion I have been modelling for”.
In a 2017 interview with website Gay Nation, Mr Mulgrew is quoted saying he wants to “be remembered much like Julius Caesar”.
On Wednesday, Mr Mulgrew was charged with demanding property in company with intent to steal, intimidating to cause fear of physical harm and participating in a criminal group.

He was also charged with contravening a court-imposed order preventing him from associating with other bikie gang members.
Mr Mulgrew appeared at Parramatta Local Court where he was formally refused bail. He will next appear at Blacktown Local Court on June 7.
Mr McPhail, allegedly a Finks sergeant-at-arms, was also charged with menacing, intimidation and criminal group participation offences and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
Mr Mccaffery, reputedly the Finks chapter’s vice-president, was charged with demanding property in company with intent to steal, intimidating to cause fear of physical harm, participating in a criminal group, not keeping a firearm safely, possessing an unregistered firearm, and possessing a shortened firearm without authority.
Mr McPhail and Mr Mccaffery were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
Detective Superintendent Weinstein warned increasingly active bikies that his squad was committed to targeting them despite a recent focus on warring crime families in south-west Sydney.
“If outlaw motorcycle gangs believe that because of certain conflicts where we have engaged and been successful in the last few months ... that they can raise their profiles and raise their organisations, the message is clear from NSW Police,” he said.
“We are around you, we are on top of you and you will be crushed.”
Following the search at Raymond Terrace, police also arrested a 23-year-old man. He was charged with weapons offences. He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on June 21.
Further charges are expected and the investigation is ongoing.
