Until this week, The Sinner on USA was a wonderful break from the regular agenda-driven television that overwhelms all other options. With the September 6 episode, Part VI, they broke their streak, when the main character Cora ( Jessica Biel ) demonstrates what her boyfriend does to her sexually on her younger sister Phoebe (Augie Murphy).
The show centers around Cora, an everyday small-town New York wife and mother who snaps one day and murders a man on the beach. In the course of the eight-episode series, we explore her past (including her upbringing by Catholic zealots, which has been a popular theme this summer ) through flashbacks as she and the police try to piece together what happened. While Detective Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is convinced her past is the key to making sense of her crime, crucial pieces of her memory are missing. If only I could wipe this scene from my own memory.
In this flashback scene to their teenage years, Cora complies, first by kissing her sister, then touching her breast over her clothing and, finally, Phoebe putting her sister's hand into her underpants. The scene ends in a close-up of Phoebe panting.
Phoebe: Tell me what he does to you when you're alone.
Cora: Theres- I don't know. Rubbing.
Phoebe: Show me. Show me how he kisses you at least. Cora. Where does he touch you? Please. What does he say?

The online “ Big Brother ” community had something to say about photos and videos posted by identical twin sisters Liz and Julia Nolan of “Big Brother 17” on their shared OnlyFans account.
OnlyFans is a social media website where people can post adult content of themselves and fans can purchase subscriptions to see the content and direct message with the creators. Creators keep 80% of the money they earn on the platform, according to Influencer Marketing Hub .
A lot of reality stars have OnlyFans pages , including “Big Brother” stars Zach Rance, Christine Varner, Elena Davies , Angela Rockstar, Jozea Flores and Jojo Spatafore. Popular “Survivor” player Ozzy Lusth is also on OnlyFans .
In a May 2021 interview Davies told the Dallas Observer she received death threats because of her OnlyFans page.
But Liz and Julia Nolan from “Big Brother 17” — in which Liz finished runner-up to winner Steve Moses and Julia took sixth place — were making headlines in July 2021 because of photos and videos they posted of themselves together on their Nolan Twins OnlyFans page.
Their OnlyFans bio reads, “We’re here to spice things up…double the trouble but double the fun!”
The page includes photos and videos of the sisters nude or wearing bikinis, lingerie or revealing clothing. In five photos and one video posted between August 31 and September 4, 2021, they stand together in a pool wearing black bikini bottoms and white T-shirts that say “twincest” – a word some commenters on Twitter used in July 2021 when the Nolans’ presence on the platform became a topic of conversation. In one of the photos, dated September 4, they’re wearing their “twincest” shirts and each holding up a middle finger at the camera. In many of the images on the page they touch each others’ breasts or buttocks.
In January 2022 their OnlyFans page had nearly 600 photos and videos and more than 41,000 likes on their posts.
In a July 15 IGTV segment , the twins told their fans that they planned to move from the “toxic wasteland” of Los Angeles to Florida in September, but first they wanted to do photoshoots in Las Vegas, at Joshua Tree National Park and in other locations suggested by fans. They also announced they were hosting a giveaway on OnlyFans in which three winners would receive an autographed copy of the photo of their choice of the twins.
The photos and videos began spreading among the “Big Brother” online community on July 19 and fan reaction on Twitter was almost entirely critical.

One fan wrote , “WHO PUT THE NOLAN TWINS VIDEO IN THE BB23 TAG AND MADE ME SEE THAT WITH MY OWN EYES,” and another added , “I vote to evict the Nolan twins.”

Several fans said they were worried about scrolling through “Big Brother” hashtags on social media for fear of what they might find.

The sisters, who turned 30 in December 2021, they shared on Twitter , regularly post photos of themselves on Twitter and Instagram in which they appear together in lingerie, swimwear and minimal clothing to promote their OnlyFans content. On their website , the twins wrote that they “have traveled through life together, attending all the same schools, as well as college” before their time on “Big Brother 17” and their stint on MTV’s “ The Challenge 33.”
They did not respond to the criticism. They launched a Reddit community on July 21 that has been virtually inactive since.
“Big Brother” season 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times on CBS.
