These celebrity scandals have all involved the word “slut” in one way or another.
Andi Dorfman was called a slut on Fox News this week. Seriously. Watch the insulting clip.
In promotion of her book, Farrah Abraham strongly implied that Selena and Vanessa were sluts, asking “WHY BE A SLUT > When you could be sexy?!?!? #CelebritySextape.”
Belle Knox is a student at Duke who became the subject of national scorn when her side (porn!) job was exposed. She insisted that she was promoting the “rights” of “sex workers” and is not a slut.
How does Chrissy Teigen feel about Farrah Abraham? She Tweeted that the Teen Mom “thinks she’s pregnant from her sex tape. In other news you’re a whore and everyone hates you.”
Pink didn’t shy away from her past in an interview with Glamour, telling the magazine: “I’m a reformed slut.”
Georgetown student Sandra Fluke believes birth control should be covered by insurance. Rush Limbaugh went off on why this was the attitude of a “slut.”

Amethyst Realm, a 27-year-old Brit, is getting slut-shamed for claiming to have had sex with at least 20 ghosts — whom she purportedly prefers to living men.
Realm, from Bristol, England, went on the British TV show “ITV This Morning” on Thursday to discuss her out-of-body-on-body experiences. She says it all began in 2005, when she moved into a haunted home with her then-fiancé.
“It started as an energy, then became physical,” she says. “There was pressure on my thighs and breath on my neck. I just always felt safe. I had sex with the ghost. You can feel it. It’s difficult to explain.”
Realm continued this supernatural affair for three years, but had to end it when she got caught by her husband. (She claims he saw a shadowy shape of a man on top of her.)
Since that first steamy spectral encounter, Realm says, she’s hooked up with at least 20 ghosts, and isn’t adverse to the thought of conceiving a ghost-baby.
The TV show’s co-host, Phillip Schofield, responds a bit judgmentally.
“I should imagine you have got quite a name for yourself in the spirit world,” he says. “I would imagine they would be keen to visit you.”
The Huffington Post zeroed in on this immediately as “spooky slut-shaming.”

“She had a fiancé at 15?” writes one HuffPost commentator. “Is she originally from Alabama?”
“Tune in next week [when] she accuses them of sexual harassment and sues them. #shewantsachecktoo,” writes another.
Psychotherapist Tina Radziszewicz thinks Realm is confusing ghost sex with a hallucination that happens in that weird realm between wakefulness and sleep.
“Such hallucinations can be extremely vivid and bizarre, and can include tactile, visual and auditory,” Radziszewicz tells the Mirror . “Stress, anxiety, depression and trauma can make people more prone to this form of hallucination.”
