Turtle Feast

Privacy Policy for TurtleFeast

TurtleFeast is a casual mobile game developed and distributed by OnyxThicket Collective. This document explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you play TurtleFeast on an Android device. We wrote it for this specific game rather than adapting a generic notice, so the practices described here reflect how TurtleFeast actually behaves.

Who We Are and What This Covers

OnyxThicket Collective acts as the data controller for the TurtleFeast application distributed through Google Play. The policy covers the game itself and any menus, settings, or support flows reachable from inside it. It does not cover Google Play, the operating system on your handset, or any website or service you reach by tapping an outbound link from within TurtleFeast.

What TurtleFeast Records

We designed the game so that most of what it knows about you never leaves your phone. Concretely:

  • Progress data such as level completion, high scores, unlocked content, and audio or difficulty preferences. This lives in local device storage.
  • Technical identifiers generated automatically when the app runs, including an advertising identifier, an app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version, screen dimensions, language, and coarse region derived from your IP address.
  • Diagnostic records produced when something misbehaves, for example crash stack traces, frame-rate drops, and the sequence of screens visited immediately before an error.
  • Anything you voluntarily type into a support message, along with the address you send it from.

TurtleFeast does not ask for your name, your precise GPS location, your contacts, your microphone, your camera, or your photo library. There is no account system and no login.

Why We Process It

Gameplay data keeps your turtle's progress intact between sessions. Diagnostic records let our small team reproduce bugs instead of guessing at them. Aggregated usage statistics tell us which levels players abandon, which informs balancing changes in later updates. Identifiers tied to advertising allow partner networks to select and frequency-cap the ads shown between rounds and to detect invalid or fraudulent impressions. Support correspondence exists so we can answer your question and nothing more.

Outside Companies Involved

TurtleFeast integrates a small number of established software development kits. These providers receive data directly from your device under their own privacy notices:

  • Google AdMob, for interstitial and rewarded advertising and the measurement that accompanies it.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase, for anonymous, aggregated usage counts.
  • Firebase Crashlytics, for stability and crash reporting.
  • Google Play services, for delivery, licensing, and integrity checks.

We encourage you to read those providers' policies, since their handling of data is governed by them rather than by us.

Disclosure Practices

OnyxThicket Collective does not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense the California statute uses. Disclosure happens only in the narrow circumstances above, when a valid legal order compels it, when we must defend our legal rights, or if the game were ever transferred to another owner, in which case this notice would travel with it.

How Long Information Persists

Locally stored progress remains until you delete the app or clear its data through Android settings. Analytics events roll off after fourteen months. Crash reports are discarded after ninety days. Support emails are retained for one year following resolution of the ticket.

Players Under Thirteen

TurtleFeast is rated for a general audience but is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly gather personal information from them. Should a parent or guardian discover that a child has submitted such information, write to us at lshondamizutand2app@gmail.com and we will erase it promptly.

Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may request access to their data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where consent forms our legal basis, most notably for personalised advertising, you may withdraw it at any time, and you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, opt out of any sale or sharing, and exercise these rights without receiving a lesser experience in the game.

Two controls sit directly on your device: Settings, then Privacy, then Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID, and clearing the app's storage removes local gameplay data. For everything else, contact us and we will respond within thirty days.

Safeguards

Data in transit between your device and our providers is encrypted using TLS. Access to the consoles that display analytics and crash output is limited to project members and protected by two-factor authentication. We hold no separate customer database of our own. No safeguard is absolute, and we make no claim of perfect security.

Revisions

When the game changes in a way that affects this notice, we update the text and move the date at the top. Substantial changes will be announced in the Google Play listing and, where the law requires it, through an in-app prompt seeking fresh consent.
