my directory official hit the 500k character limit while updating new faceclaims! because of this, i have split up the directory into: females and males. this change is reflected now!
i currently do not have that many non-binary / transgender faceclaims (which i am working on!) to make it necessary for their own directory yet.

I know you don't mean to, but by putting nonbinary under female it feels like you are just calling us spicy girls. There is a big problem with people assuming nonbinary means femmine AMAB people or AFAB people who are either masculine or feminine. There is a problem with not enough AMAB nonbinary rep and also people who are AMAB tend to have to be really feminine or they are told they aren't really nonbinary. So putting nonbinary under female feels like saying nonbinary AMAB are just trans women and AFAB nonbinaries are just weird girls. Would there be any way to just have nonbinary be its own category? And then double tag for people who ID as like trans masc nonbinary or trans fem nonbinary? I have also seen modeling agencies sorting by pronouns, but not everyone has their pronouns easily found so I get that being tricky.
I liked to say thank you for the information! although a lot of what you said is conveying rather false assumptions of myself. I am non-binary myself.
While it is true that they should have their own directory, at the time of my splitting the directory (my pinned post from almost a year ago now), it made the most sense to me to keep the non-binaries in the ‘female’ directory because it was the bigger directory and because they were all mixed together at the time. I agonized over the proper way to split everything and be respectful while still have a comprehensive directory.
And since, it has worked for me to just keep it that. They are all tagged to the best of my abilities, I am only one person. But I do have it pinned so people can find the resources they are looking for. Trans men belong with the male directory, Trans women in the female directory and non-binary did not have many at the time and even know and I just kept it in the bigger directory.
It was nothing deliberate or malicious and honestly, I am not gonna take up site resources for six faceclaims. Especially when I don’t even really have time to do anything than queue a bunch of posts once a month to keep this blog alive. The last time I have even touched the directory code being months ago.
I am really sorry that my directory has made you feel this way. I have always done my best to fix any mistakes that have been pointed out to me in the past with my directory or posts. Having just the male and female directories and my tagging system is the easiest for me and everything is tagged appropriately to the best of my ability so I am gonna keep it the same.
