thinking about cardan jolting awake from his sleep when jude entered his room and woke him up but immediately going slack upon realizing it was just her and jude just. loSiNg hER miNd oVeR it because "He shouldn't relax like that." and going ahead and telling him how she's been sent to kill him but he doesn't even care and instead pulls her into bed and starts cuddling with her aND I—
the experience of writing something, posting it, and then having people comment about their favorite parts through their eyes is just. such an incredible experience. it’s like getting to re-read your own writing again for the first time and it always gives me such a giddy feeling when people pick up on things i don’t realize i’m putting out.
I love how there is so much drama surrounding the Duarte sisters and Cardan and their rivalry between all of them and then there’s just Vivi. Who is super chill and friends with everyone and she immediately befriends Cardan and treats him like she treats everyone else. And when he gets crowned king she jokingly sends him a mug, something so mortal and so her and only someone close enough to Cardan to be cheeky with him would be able to pull that off.
I just love their understated friendship.
