I feel about a billion years old, because apparently all of the young cool hip people find most of their porn on Tumblr . Which brings some questions to mind. What's a Tumblr? How does one "Internet"? But really, I'm new to this. I mean, I tend to stick to sites with the word "porn" right in the name, because, well, it does what it says. But there must be a reason so many people are using Tumblr for porn , and I wanted to figure out what it was.
Unfortunately, when I asked my young cool friends, they basically laughed in my face. So I had to turn to THE INTERNET, and learned that one of the cool things about Tumblr (besides the loads of porn) is how you can pick specific blogs that fit what you're looking for. It's a massive improvement on the homepages of most porn sites , which often have a mishmash of recently-posted videos clips that assault your eyes which you can never un-see. Also, Tumblr has more funny ones. Which I like, because laughing and porn are basically my two favorite things.
So here are the best places for porn (and porn-related LOLZ) on Tumblr. Obviously, these all are completely NSFW.
The name is perfect, because that is also how I feel looking at all of these ladies.
This is literally just what it says it is: People doing porn with cats in the background who have no more effs to give . It's hilarious. And kind of hot ... maybe.
Yes, Internet — boobs are cool . Thank you for putting them all in one place for me.
This isn't strictly porn so much as a porn star's personal Tumblr . But I think it's interesting (and kind of important) to get reminded of porn stars in their day to day life.
If graphic isn't your thing, there are loads of places to get some super hot erotic fiction on Tumblr. It's great because you get to get off and feel classy all at once.
Some great porn for women. It is part of a bigger Tumblr that gives advice and has frank discussions about women and sex, with some porn in there was well. I like the whole thing.
This Tumblr just focuses on that age-old question. What's the difference between porn and art ? Lighting? Subject? How much peanut butter you're eating while watching it? It's an interesting take, and has loads of hot ladies, which is obviously key.
Boom. This one is super hot. Different real women outline exactly what it is that makes them come. Some are short descriptions, some are long stories, but all are really sexy and really insightful. It shows you just how different everyone is, and how much you need to listen to your partner and your body. And did I mention that it's super hot ?

Home - Adult Social Media - Best Tumblr Porn Alternatives For Adult Content
Looking for a new home for your adult content since Tumblr went family-friendly?
Since Tumblr took the decision to ban NSFW content on its website at the end of 2018, there has been a gap in the world of micro-blogging sites for the niche and free content that it offered.
Though some Tumblr users have yet to see access to their pages revoked over their images and clips, we wanted to know what alternatives there were to this useful multimedia sharing platform.
In this guide, we take a look at some of the best Tumblr porn alternatives for adult content.
AdultTime #1 Porn Streaming Subscription in 2022
Who needs Netflix & Chill ? AdultTime is the "red pill" way to find & stream high quality porn.
A multimedia micro-blogging and social networking site launched in 2005, Tumblr was always set to be a different kind of animal to that of Facebook, Twitter or LiveJournal.
It fostered a progressive community that allowed open and healthy exchanges and hosting for issues such as sexuality, identity and body image.
It became a popular place for LGBTQ+ users to share content and to engage in debate. This was bolstered after the Russian government took over the blogging site LiveJournal and began censoring any content that was pro-LGBTQ+.
In short, moderation on the site was very relaxed and welcomed opportunities for discussions that would have been taboo on other platforms.
This level of openness and freedom on the site led to Tumblr being seen as a safe space for the creation and curation of Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content.
Such as haven for content that was poorly moderated unfortunately led to trouble and material on the popular platform that depicted illegal activities and politically charged images/messages was not uncommon.
At the end of 2018, Tumblr made the decision to ban adult content from its network. The move followed allegations made in the Fall of 2018 that the site was being used to distribute child pornography. The complaints were taken seriously and the Tumblr app was immediately removed from the iOS App Store.
The company itself responded by making some changes to its terms and conditions and now has a blanket ban on all adult content.
The decision has meant that many micro-bloggers have found that access to their sites has been blocked and thousands of popular bookmarks no longer work at all.
Whilst Tumblr only wishes to prohibit access to porn, their stringent moderation algorithms have meant that blogs containing artistic erotica or images with any nudity (including those depicting pre and post-operative transsexuals) have been targeted.
Whilst only a small percentage of the site’s actual bloggers were producing NSFW content, it is estimated that these blogs were attracting over a quarter of Tumblr’s traffic.
As a result of the ban, visitor numbers to the site have fallen dramatically. What was once a sex-positive and open community has turned into a service where users are confused or wary about the new policy changes.
So, where can you find NSFW content in a post Tumblocalypse world and where have all these visitors gone?
Fortunately, there are plenty of sites that are similar to Tumblr that haven’t banned porn with some saying they never will.
Their popularity has all increased since Tumblr cleaned up its service and we’ve chosen those adult alternatives to Tumblr where traffic is healthy and that have a diverse range of content.
Indeed, we’ve seen an explosion in adult social media networks where NSFW content is the default. Sites like ManyVids , OnlyFans and FanCentro have grown at a phenomenal rate in the last 18 months.
Either way, whether you are a NSFW content creator, curator or aficionado there should be a suitable new home for you below.
For amateurs looking to monetise their own original adult content, see our guide to selling nudes and dirty pics here.
Reddit is one of the best alternatives to Tumblr for NSFW content.
There are few restrictions for the kind of adult material that you can upload and, as one of the world’s most popular sites, it has a huge range of content to choose from.
You don’t need to have an account to read material so you can browse without registering any details. However, you do get the best experience from Reddit by being a member of the community.
Also, some subreddits are restricted to members only.
It is a bit different in format to Tumblr but does offer a great alternative if you are looking for niche multimedia files. You can find some of the best adult subreddits in our recent feature.
Promising refugees from Tumblr a safe NSFW haven, Thumbnailr has many of the features offered by Tumblr including:
In fact, the site purports to offer, not just an alternative to Tumblr but ‘one on steroids’.
Its getting some attention in the community of Tumblr refugees and uptake is good due to its social networking, forums and customizable features. It also offers a subscription-based service so you can hide content from non-paying visitors.
Definitely one for the short-list, Thumbnailr has a lot to offer as a Tumblr porn alternative.
This service is designed in an almost identical way to Tumblr and offers a safe space for adult content as long as it isn’t against the law and you are over the age of consent.
Launched shortly after Tumblr’s porn ban came into effect, the service has been developed over the last few months to incorporate many features that regular users will be familiar with.
Pillowfort is a new social blogging platform that is about as close to Tumblr as you can get when it comes to design and community features. The main difference is that the content on Pillowfort is locked away from general access and is only available to holders of a ‘key’.
Keys are sent out by invitation but once users log in using the access granted to them they can interact with a blog in the same ways as via Tumblr.
It’s a Kickstarter project which is still being developed and the company has received a huge influx of new users since Tumblr closed its doors on adult content.
This means that registering a new account with Pillowfort depends on the capacity of the system. They did stop taking any new users back in December 2018 following the immediate aftermath of Tumblocalypse.
And, as far as NSFW restrictions go, there are very few restrictions so you should find a safe space to share your adult content here.
A very simple image-based sharing service that is both SFW and NSFW, 4Chan has content from Japanese animation to music, video games and popular culture.
You don’t need to register an account to join in with the community and there is a good deal of interaction going on in the adult content categories.
It’s becoming a natural home for users who are interested in Hentai, Ecchi, Yuri and Yaoi but does also have some decent GIFs and hardcore material.
A micro-blogging site that is similar to Tumblr but with a content policy that is committed to free speech, digital freedom and gender equity, Swarmr is all about user driven content and information.
There are quite a few Tumblr ‘refugees’ on the site looking for like-minded people and sharing the kinds of content you would expect.
However, the site does lack the features of Tumblr and is far from being a suitable permanent home until it develops its service a lot more. Well worth a look into and may offer a way of finding other refugees.
Fetlife is a social networking site designed for people with an interest in kinks, fetishes and BDSM. As a result, the design of the service is not really similar to Tumblr at all; in fact, it shares more of a resemblance to Facebook.
However, it does offer another way to form and build communities and share content such a NSFW gifs, graphic stories and other media.
This site should tick the boxes of those people who enjoyed the interactions offered by Tumblr.
Not an alternative to Tumblr but this site has been set up to help Tumblr users reconnect after the ban. It’s a useful directory of refugees who have fallen foul of the new content policy on Tumblr and should give you another starting point as to where to go next.
A brand-new social media platform that is designed specifically for people in the adult industry, Sharesome is more akin to Facebook than Tumblr. However, due to the community that the site is targeted at, it does mean that the space is safe for sharing NSFW content.
You do need to be a verified user to access content but you can link your Twitter account to do this. Though free to use it is monetized by way of its live cam service as well as money-making opportunities for members.
You can find out more about Sharesome in our latest review of the service here.
A new generation of social networking that promises not to sell your private life, MeWe is taking the social media world by storm.
Built solely around the concept of trust, control and privacy, it has been voted one of the Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America, One To Watch in the 2018 Tech Trends and was also a finalist in the SXSW Start Up of the Year 2018.
Less of a direct replacement or alternative to Tumblr but offering great freedom of speech and privacy features, MeWe should certainly be one to look into for anyone who regularly posts and shares adult content.
A great social media site with an extremely active community, Deviant Art has been knocking around since 2000. It’s a popular site for content creators and has always had very liberal policies when it comes to the kind of material being shared. However, it is an art site that takes copyright very seriously.
Not the best choice for anyone who used Tumblr for photos, blogging or sharing live action porn videos but certainly an option for those who enjoy Hentai and other cartoon, anime etc. adult content.
Newgrounds has also been around for some time, originally being launched in 1999. Like Deviant Art it focuses very much on cartoons, drawings, art and Hentai but is another site that is independent and has broad content policies.
There’s some good NSFW content available to browse and you can use the site to connect with other users in a similar way to Tumblr.
Twitter isn’t an obvious alternative to Tumblr but it is providing a great resource for connecting with popular adult Tumblr bloggers after the ban has kicked in.
There is a free spreadsheet with the Twitter handles of over 1000 NSFW bloggers who you can contact to find out where they have moved their sites to. Nicknamed the ‘ Tumblr Exodus Lifeboat ’, this should help anyone who is looking for a specific blog URL.
Over and above those Tumblr users who have reached out to this project for help, Twitter itself has pretty liberal content policies and does offer a way to connect with communities.
More like a Twitter alternative than a Tumblr one, Mastodon is an open-source, community owned platform for connecting with other users and sharing content.
Using a decentralized network of servers, users have way more control and privacy over their posts (or ‘toots’).
In fact, it’s one of the safest social media platforms around and is growing fast. With user figures already reaching 2.2 million, Mastodon offers a diverse range of communities and a few servers available in the adult category.
The best of these is the community that calls itself Humblr ; a specific group for kinky-minded people who can no longer use Tumblr. With about 130k users, this is one of the main communities that formed after the Tumblr ban kicked in.
The best part of Mastodon is that is completely ad-free and not monetized in any way. It’s the way it’s been designed and should make it both future proof and robust from any corporate or government interference.
A tiny site so far with only around 1000 posts, TumblrX aims to fill some of the holes left by Tumblr with a simple service to share NSFW content.
It is currently being housed on a permissive image board hosting site (The Booru Project) but will eventually migrate to a permanent home, www.tumblrx.com
This long-running blog-publishing service allows NSFW content across its platform as long as the creator indicates that it is marked as ‘adult’. This places the blog behind their content warning interstitial service.
Blogger, like WordPress, offers a simple hosting service for publishers of adult content. It offers some elements of community driven feedback and sharing that Tumblr allows but is not geared for social networking.
The main drawback to this service over others on this list is the fact that is owned by Google.
Whilst the company currently allows adult content on its service, there is a fear that investing in the platform to create your blog site now will be pointless as Google will surely follow suit at some point soon in how it restricts adult material over its services.
If you are an existing Tumblr user and you are looking for an easy way to transfer your site to another hosting platform then WordPress is certainly worth looking at. Another service that has pretty liberal content policies, they even have a Tumblr import tool that makes the whole process easier.

Erotic Tumblr once ran aplenty. If you’ve ever hastily typed the phrase “ Tumblr porn ,” “ lesbian Tumblr ,” or “ sex GIFs ” into your browser on private mode, you’re probably in search of reliable Tumblr porn alternatives. It’s a sad day when a lifetime archive of artful black-and-white NSFW GIFs disappears into oblivion, leaving their followers to search for sites like Tumblr.
You’ve probably heard that Tumblr effectively banned all adult content on the platform starting Dec. 17, 2018. And while that does mean you’ve lost your favorite BDSM blogs or NSFW lesbian Tumblr pages, it also means Tumblr is banning things like “real-life human genitals,” “female-presenting nipples,” and anything that “depicts sex acts.” These categories disproportionately affect not only porn content, but adult artists, queer users, kink communities, and sex workers whose livelihoods depend on Tumblr as a welcoming platform.
Alas, the light in the dark that was Tumblr porn has been effectively put out. Thankfully, there are some brilliant Tumblr porn alternatives that have been around for quite some time. And now, they’re picking up steam not only as platforms for adult content but as safe spaces for artists and online communities that lost a home on the internet. Here are the best apps and sites like Tumblr porn in lieu of erotic Tumblr content.
Pillowfort is a small but mighty blogging platform that most closely resembles Tumblr when it comes to site capabilities, design, and user interaction, making it feel the most seamless among Tumblr porn alternatives. The difference is that it’s private and currently requires a “key” to access. Pillowfort keys are sent out via invite only and give users access to a feed that much resembles Tumblr’s dashboard. You can like and reblog posts, reply to and save other posts on your bottomless homepage, follow accounts and categories you love, and send private mail to other users. Best of all, Pillowfort has a lax policy when it comes to NSFW content and gives users more overall control.
Users can request an access key by donating $5 to Pillowfort, or can use an invitation key from a current user. While the site has closed registration in December in order to “improve performance and add necessary features,” registration is open as of June . If you do make it past Pillowfort’s protected beta borders, you’ll find a ton of NSFW spaces, including:
Mastodon is good for Twitter alternatives much like Pillowfort is good among Tumblr porn alternatives. That is, if Twitter were conceptualized as free open-source software. Mastodon is a social network software that forms a part of the “ Fediverse ,” which is a decentralized network of servers that
