My wife and I were not able to partake in most of the tour due to mobility issues but we enjoyed sitting on the beach while the rest went snorkeling and we did enjoy the cenotes pool. Our tour guide Hamlet was fantastic. Funny, knowledgeable, looked after everyone. The ruins were ok… beautiful setting. The snorkeling beach was beautiful … snorkeling not so much. Too many boats and people and nothing to see. Would have rather stayed on the beach and swam. The lunch was so so. The highlight is the Cenote. Enjoyed the day overall. This was a perfect excursion from Cancun! Went with adult family members who had never snorkeled and they had the best time. Ulrich was our guide and I cannot speak highly enough of his kindness, passion, and care for our experience! Victor was awesome Highly recommended for anyone! The can was equipped with water and snacks. Our Mexican lunch was outstanding and the activities were well thought out and educational. The driver was great too! I would give our trip a 5 star rating except for the snorkeling part. That part gets a negative. Our boat captain actually ran over some other snorkelers going full speed. It was very traumatic for us. Then, we were very hesitant to get in the water, for fear another boat would run us over. We could not relax to enjoy snorkeling because we felt we needed to watch for other boats. Then our boat left us and the other boat beside ours also left. We were very afraid. This was such a well paced tour, you get really good value from seeing three fantisic and varied parts of Tulum. Our tour guide Nick was really knowledgeable and looked after us throughout the trip with good communication. The food was a bit lacking so I would bring snacks if you were fussy, however that was not an important part of the trip for us. Chris and Yiyi were our driver and guide during this excursion. We had a wonderful time with them. Chris speaks English very well and provided us with much information about Costa Rica -- the culture, the wildlife, the plants, the family life, the food, and the educational system. We enjoyed that a great deal. Several members of our group have some mobility issues; Chris and YiYi were quick to assist them as needed on uneven terrain. Chris frequently checked in with us to ensure that we had enough time at each location of interest, reminding us that the day was ours, and he wanted us to enjoy it. We really enjoyed the variety of activities today. We enjoyed close viewing of an entire monkey family, videotaped carrier ants lugging leaves to their dens, watched the lazy sloth in a tree above us, had a great cool-down in the waterfall pools, enjoyed the beautiful beaches and forests, and had fabulous photo opportunities. I would highly recommend this excursion; ask for Chris and YiYi. It was a fabulous tour. Fascinating to learn the culture and history in the Tulum area, see the beauty of the ruins, and then also snorkel on the reef as well as swimming in the cenote cave. It was awesome to have all these experiences in one day. Our guide, Alex Jimenez, was funny, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. His passion for the natural beauty was evident and much appreciated. Such a good time. Ismael was a great guide and very attentive. We loved the Mayan tour, the snorkeling was very fun lots of stingrays! Tips for travelers: wear your swimsuit under your clothes, apply sunscreen before you get started, wear comfy shoes first and then change into water shoes for snorkeling and celotes. You can change out of your swimsuit after the celotes swim. Lunch was very good as well. Sophia was a fabulous guide with a great sense of humor. She had a great knowledge of the area and is very passionate about the ocean and its environment. Thank you for a fabulous day, I would highly recommend this tour to others. Gave us wrong info about opening hours of grand cenote so we took taxi and arrived to see its closed. One of my fave hostels in Mexico! Great atmosphere and daily activities, plus yummy breakfast.
