The fun begins with setting the bike in advance, so you enjoy the best of each moment.
 
Maximize the trail ride with customized settings in your own image.

Customize the assist character balancing between assist maximum torque and pedaling input torque to my preferred riding. 
Adjust the assist maximum torque to the trail conditions.

・ New feature (E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist) The application has been modified to allow upgrading the firmware on ST-R9270/ST-R8170.

It has been confirmed that pairing the rear derailleur with the dual control lever fails for some units when the version of the firmware on ST-R9270/ST-R8170 is Ver. 4.0.2 or earlier.

If pairing fails, use one of the following applications to update the version of the firmware on ST-R9270/ST-R8170 to Ver. 4.0.3 or later.

* Follow the steps below to update the firmware using E-TUBE PROJECT Professional Ver.5.0.2 or later or E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist Ver.5.0.2 or later.

* Use SM-PCE02 to connect the dual control lever to your PC with a cable and update the firmware, then perform pairing.

* Customers who do not own SM-PCE02, contact your place of purchase or a distributor for assistance.

With Android 12, you can now select "Approximate location" for your smartphone's location information. However, it has been confirmed that doing so can cause app instability. We recommend that you select "Precise location".

There will be a major version upgrade for E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 in the coming days. Please note the following points related to this upgrade.
・ SM-PCE1 and SM-BCR2 will no longer be compatible.
・ The application can no longer be used on a PC with Windows 7.
Customers who need to upgrade their devices in order to use the application after the major version upgrade, please prepare the following items.
・ A PC with Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 installed.
Note that you can continue to use the features available in the current version without the upgrade. If you do not need the major version upgrade, please continue using E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4.
The “E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 (Ver. 4.0.4)” will be updated as below:
1) Possibility to change the "Light / accessory power terminal output settings"
2) Changed the way to display the error log under the maintenance tab.
3) New window pops up to show the progress bar, while creating a service report.

4) Remaining light capacity time can be set shorter than the current setting value.

The “E-TUBE PROJECT for mobile (Ver. 4.0.4)” will be updated as below:
1) Added new firmware download function that allows the user to download the product firmware when needed.
2) Improved the switch customization display by highlighting the switch buttons.
3) New drive units added for error log list. (DU-E6100, DU-E6110, DU-E6180, DU-E7000, DU-E5000, DU-E5080, DU-E5080-H).
4) Improved the ON/OFF slide switch visibility for the information display.
Fixed the problem for customers using SM-BCR2 to set up the bicycle via “E-TUBE PROJECT for Windows V4 (Ver. 4.0.2)” that was resulting in disabled operations.
E-TUBE PROJECT for mobile (Ver. 4.0.2) has been updated as below:
iOS14 is now supported. The error log display function (for DU-EP800) has been added.

SHIMANO genuine application E-TUBE PROJECT allows you to customize your settings, update firmware,
and get the useful information through Windows PC ver. by connecting with the bikes.
Recently, the bike battery seems to drain quickly.
